AWA GCW Macon 10/8/77 'Bolt vs/ Korean Assassin
Oct 12th, 2007, 9:44am

Georgia Championship Wrestling
October 8, 1977
Macon, Georgia
Macon Coliseum
Bell Time: 7:30pm
Ring Announcer: Freddie Miller
Refs: Bobby Simmons and Ron West

1st Event of the Evening
Jean Louie w/ Ron Wright defeated Ati Tago

The Canadian lumberjack launched a brutal attack against the Samoan Sensation that the popular Samoan was never able to recover from.
Louie scored the win over Tago following a reverse neckbreaker.

TV taping
Dick Dunn v/s Giant Rebel
Cyclone Negro v/s Rick Oliver
Ron Fuller, Roy Lee Welch and Gypsy Joe v/s RT Tyler, Don Bass and BlackJack Laine
Ricky Gibson v/s Otto Von Heller

2nd Event of the Evening
“Bruiser” Bill White and James J. Dillon relied on chicanery to defeat “Mr. Action” Mike Jackson and “Golden Boy” Paul Christy. White pinned Jackson while Dillon held Mr. Actions foot from the arena floor.

3rd Event of the Evening
Georgia Tag-Team Championship Match
© Mr. Wrestling and Mr. Wrestling 2 defeated “Bulldog” Don Kent and “British Bulldog” Ted Heath

This was an excellent back and forth match between four outstanding technical wrestlers. While the match was largely scientific with some rulebreaking from the Bulldogs the match did see several long minutes of brawling. Mr. Wrestling 2 took the edge over the British Bulldog here wearing Heath down before making the tag to Mr. Wrestling who finished him off with a rolling reverse.

Main Event of the Evening
Georgia Heavyweight Championship Match
© Thunderbolt Patterson defeated Kim Duk w/ Baron Von Turco

Patterson and Duk unloaded on each other beginning shortly after the ringing of the bell and continuing until ‘Bolt executed a bone jarring atomic drop that put the Korean Assassin down for the 3 count.

Patterson is certainly a fighting champion. Good bout with Duk.

The Wrestlings really put the title on the line often. The Bulldogs are tough challengers.

Nice to see White and Dillon with a win.

Keep the Peach State action coming.

Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience!
