WWWF House Shows 10/6 - 10/12/1977
Oct 20th, 2007, 8:36pm

WORLD WIDE WRESTLING FEDERATION LIVE ACTION!!!!
 ALBANY, NEW YORK
OCTOBER 6, 1977

LARRY ZBYSZKO VS. CHARLIE FULTON

The young Zbyszko has been on a roll since returning to the WWWF, and continues it here in a back and forth match up with Charlie Fulton, Larry gets the win after reversing an Irish Whip and catching Fulton with a Belly to Belly Suplex, followed by a pin

”MR. USA” TONY ATLAS VS. PETE DOUGHRETY

Dougherty goes straight for Atlas before the bell rings, Atlas shrugs off Dougherty's assault and then Press Slams him before quickly locking the Full Nelson on him for the win.

WWWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: TONY GAREA & “IRISH” PAT BARRETT CHALLENGE JOHNNY & JERRY VALIANT ©

Everyone saw Garea and Barrett get a non title win this morning on television, and The Valiants are not happy about it. Garea and Barrett take charge early, but right when in looks like Albany will see  the Tag Titles change hands, Jerry Valiant pulls Johnny out of the ring, and the Valiants retreat to the locker room with their titles, but they keep the belts.

CHIEF JAY STRONGBOW VS. GEORGE STEELE

Strongbow and Steele take the fight straight to each other. They brawl all over the ring. Strongbow has an early advantage until Jesse Ventura shows up at ringside and distracts Strongbow allowing Steele to take control. Steele beats on Strongbow for several minutes but cannot put him away. Strongbow slowly starts to make a comeback and then breaks into the War Dance!!! Regrettably the referee is knocked down during Strongbow's comeback and doesn't see Ventura drill Strongbow with a chain!!!!! By the time the ref comes through, Steele is pinning Strongbow for the win!!!! Ventura has cost Strongbow yet another match!!!!!

INTERMISSION
After Intermission it is announced that when the WWWF returns to Albany, WWWF Tag Team Champions Johnny & Jerry Valiant will defend the titles against  Tony Garea and “Irish Pat Barrett in a match where if the Champions are counted out, they will loose the titles!! Also Chief Jay Strongbow goes after revenge when he faces Jesse Ventura.

”HIGH CHIEF” PETER MAIVIA VS. DR. RED FANG

The High Chief meets the Dangerous Doctor Red Fang, a masked madman known throughout the world!!! The High Chief is also known throughout the world, for his hard chops, harder headbutts, and powerful Samoan Drop, all things our Dubious Doctor becomes quite acquainted with here in Albany as Maivia defeats him.

DOMINIC DENUCCI VS. “KANSAS CITY BOMBER” ROGER KIRBY

Kirby offers a handshake, Denucci goes to accept the handshake, but Kirby pulls it back and chuckle, Denucci responds by slapping Kirby across the mouth!!!  Denucci sends Kirby flying around the ring with hip tosses and dropkicks before the match settles down into a solid back and forth affair. Denucci ends up with a big win, pinning Kirby after “The Kansas City Bomber” misses a top rope knee drop, and Denucci rolls him up.

LUMBERJACK MATCH FOR WWWF CHAMPIONSHIP SUPERSTAR BILLY GRAHAM DEFENDS AGAINST SPIROS ARION

An action packed Lumberjack match, all the wrestlers who competed in tonights shows along with Ivan Putski and Jesse Ventura worked as Lumberjacks. When Graham gets knocked out of the ring, George Steele really works him over on the outside. The end of the match sees Steele climb onto the apron, Arion tried to whip Graham to Steele, but Graham reversed it and send Arion crashing into Steele. Arion stumbled backward after cracking heads into a roll up!!! Graham retains the title, but Steele is quickly in the ring to attack him, the two brawl with each other for several minutes until everyone jumps into the ring and we have a Huge Brawl with all the Lumberjacks!!!!!!!! The ring finally gets cleared out leaving a Bloody Graham standing with some of his friends, as the heels try to hold George Steele back from jumping into the ring again. Graham is demanding they let Steele go, but he doesn't get his wish as the drag Steele back to the locker room.

WORLD WIDE WRESTLING FEDERATION LIVE ACTION!!!!
QUEENS, NEW YORK
OCTOBER 7, 1977

DOMINIC DENUCCI VS. DR. RED FANG

The Masked Medical Menace, Dr. Red Fang tries to use his encyclopedic knowledge of the human body to try and take Denucci out!!! Too bad it doesn't work out so well for the Dubious Doctor as Denucci wins the match after a flying head scissors.

SD JONES VS. PETE DOUGHRETY

It's  Special Delivery here in Queens!! Jones and Dougherty trade holds back and forth, but Jones ends up with the win after a Special Delivery Splash in the corner, followed by an Elbow Drop and pin!!

GORILLA MONSOON VS. MOONDOG MAYNE

Mayne comes to the ring howling and chewing on his dog bone. Monsoon isn't bothered one bit by Mayne's off the wall behavior. A great brawl between two hard hitters, but in the end, Mayne wins the match by countout when he whips Monsoon into the ringpost and knocks him out, allowing Mayne to climb back into the ring at the last second. A bloody Monsoon struggles to get back to his feet after the match, but Mayne jumps him. Mayne attacks Monsoon with his dog bone!! Then suddenly and unexpected by all, WWWF Champion Superstar Graham appears from the locker room in street clothes and stops Mayne!!! Graham battle Mayne back, causing the Mad Moondog to retreat to the locker room, and leaving Graham to attended to Monsoon.

WWWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TONY GAREA & “IRISH” PAT BARRETT CHALLENGE JOHNNY & JERRY VALIANT ©

Garea and Barrett are tired of The Valiants turning tail and running away, so they try and take The Valiants out early. However, the Tag Team Champions refuse to go down without a fight and what follows is an all out brawl between all four men. Soon referee Dick Kroll has lost all control and has to disqualify both teams, ruling the match a no contest. The sound of the bell doesn't end the battle however as both teams continue to brawl well after it rings.

INTERMISSION
After the Intermission it is announced that when the WWWF returns to Queens, WWWF Champion Superstar Bully Graham will defend his title against Moondog Mayne and the WWWF Tag Team Championship will be on the line when Johnny & Jerry Valiant defend the titles against Tony Garea & “Irish” Pat Barrett in a TEXAS TORNADO MATCH!!!

NIKOLAI VOLKOFF VS. “POLISH POWER” IVAN PUTSKI

The Russian Bulldozer has crushed everyone in his path, and “POLISH POWER” is standing in his way in a clash of the titans!! Its not a Cold War in the ring here tonight as they two men light into each other. The rabid New York fans want Volkoff's blood, but they don;t get it. Instead, Volkoff puts Putski away with A Russian Back breaker!!! Once the match is over Volkoff sings the Russian National Anthem, drawing the ire of the crowd.

LARRY ZBYSZKO VS. “KANSAS CITY BOMBER” ROGER KIRBY

Zbyszko and Kirby are slow to start, Kirby is his normal cocky self, but Larry doesn't let it get to him. Larry outwrestles Kirby from bell to bell, as Kirby plays the fool in this bit of comedy. Zbyszko gets the win after trying for a Sunset Flip, Kirby grabs the top rope to keep it from happening, but Larry reaches up and pulls on the back of Kirby's tights, and its a Full Moon over Queens!!!!! Kirby runs around the ring embarrassed by his situation until Larry catches him with a backslide for the win!!

“MR. USA” TONY ATLAS VS. GEORGE STEELE

Steele goes right after Atlas as soon as the bell rings, but Mr. USA is ready for him. Atlas fires off with punches that rattles Steele, “The Animal” answers back and we have an all out brawl for it all. No advantage to be had here as both men stand their ground, but when Atlas reverses an Irish Whip late in the match and catches Steele with a quick Power slam, thats all she wrote and Atlas quickly gets the pin. Atlas bails out of the ring after the match while Steele looses it tearing apart turnbuckle covers and throwing the referee out of the ring!!

WORLD WIDE WRESTLING FEDERATION LIVE ACTION!!!!
WHITE PLAINS NEW YORK
OCTOBER 9, 1977

DOMINIC DENUCCI VS. CHARLIE FULTON

Fulton has been stumbling a bit since coming to the WWWF, on the other hand, Denucci has been on fire. Fulton isn't able to put that fire out here in White Plains as Denucci thrills the fans with a win to open the show after THE BIG SWING!!!!!!!

”POLISH POWER” IVAN PUTSKI VS. GEORGE STEELE

Putski and Steele have been at each others throats for weeks, and nothing is changed here. Both men throw caution to the wind and battle all over the ring. The match finally spills to the outside, and the referee has no choice but to count both men out as they continue to fight on the  floor.

SD JONES VS. WWWF TAG TEAM CHAMPION JERRY VALIANT

Since winning the tag team titles, the Valiants have had to face two extremely tough teams, one being Tony Garea and “Irish” Pat Barrett, and the other being Tony Atlas and SD Jones. Here tonight, Jerry is putting his undefeated singles streak on the line against Special Delivery himself. SD has Jerry on the ropes several times but isn't able to seal the deal. Jones finally tries for the Special Delivery Splash, but Jerry moves at the last minute and SD crashes chest first into the corner. Jerry quickly rolls Jones up, and using the ropes for extra leverage, gets the win here in White Plains!!

”MR. USA” TONY ATLAS VS. WWWF TAG TEAM CHAMPION JOHNNY VALIANT

Atlas is trying to even things up here after his partner fell to Jerry Valiant earlier. Johnny is the roughneck of the team and tries to jump Atlas before the bell. A good back and forth brawl follows with Atlas winning by Submission with the Full Nelson. Right before locking the Full Nelson on, Jerry Valiant tried to jump into the ring, but SD Jones stopped him. All four men ended up brawling after the match. Atlas and SD cleared the ring and stood tall as the Valiants retreated to the back.

INTERMISSION
After the Intermission it was announced that when the WWWF returns to White Plains, “POLISH POWER” Ivan Putski faces George Steele in a Lumberjack Match, and The WWWF Tag Team Champions The Valiants will defend against “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas and SD Jones!!!

TONY GAREA & “IRISH” PAT BARRETT VS. THE GOLDEN TERRORS

Garea and Barrett have been chasing the WWWF Tag Team Champions, but tonight they find themselves against the masked Golden Terrors. Garea and Barrett shows superb team work and win the match after a Barrett Sunset Flip.

LARRY ZBYSZKO VS. PRINCE KUMALI (SUB FOR ROGER KIRBY)

Roger Kirby has hightailed it out of the WWWF, but Larry Zbyszko may be wishing he hadn't as the South African Prince makes his way to the ring. Kumali is a highly trained wrestler, and a viscous brawler. Larry gives it all he's got and the fans are treated to a hell of a match, but the Prince takes the win after Larry passes out while in the Cranial Vice!!

WWWF CHAMPION SUPERSTAR BILLY GRAHAM, “HIGH CHIEF PETER MAIVA, & CHIEF JAY STRONGBOW VS. PAT PATTERSON, MOONDOG MAYNE, & JESSE VENTURA

Six Man tag team excitement here in White Plains. Graham and Patterson are busted open early from the wounds they suffered in the MSG Cage Match. Ventura sticks his nose in one too many times without making a tag and Strongbow blows his top and chases him out of the ring, Ventura retreats to the locker room and Strongbow pursues, leaving this as a tag match about 20 minutes into it. The end comes when Graham catches Patterson in a Bear Hug and Patterson has no recourse but to give it up.

WORLD WIDE WRESTLING FEDERATION LIVE ACTION!!!!
LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK
OCTOBER 12, 1977

DOMINIC DENUCCI VS.  PETE DOUGHRETY

Denucci excites the crowd here tonight by going right for Dougherty before taking the match by pinfall after THE BIG SWING!!!!!!!!!

“HIGH CHIEF” PETER MAIVIA VS. CHARLIE FULTON

Fulton once again stalls out here as he tries to get on the winning track in the World Wide Wrestling Federation. Maivia just proves to be too much for him and pins him after a Samoan Drop.

CHIEF JAY STRONGBOW & “POLISH POWER” IVAN PUTSKI VS. MOONDOG MAYNE & GEORGE STEELE

Out of control from the sound of the starting bell. Might as well have been a Texas Tornado match as everyone kept getting into the ring. Putski and Strongbow did everything they could to put the Monstrous Maniacal Madmen down,  but were unable to. During the match, Jesse Ventura came down to ringside and kept getting involved, so much so that Strongbow finally had enough and chased him to the locker room, but in doing so left his partner who soon fell to a double team by Steele and Mayne and ended up getting pinned by Steele!

WWWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: TONY GAREA & “IRISH” PAT BARRETT CHALLENGE JOHNNY & JERRY VALIANT

Garea and Barrett having been chasing the Valiants all over the place, and while they seem to have their number, the Valiants always slip out with their belts intact. Garea and Barrett keep the Valiants on their heels for the entire match, and come damn close to winning the titles, but when Garea catches Johnny Valiant with a Cross Body Block he also knocks out the referee. Garea has Johnny down for more then a three count, but with no ref, it doesn't count. Jerry comes in and tosses powder in Garea's face. Johnny is able to roll Garea up and Kroll crawls over and is able to make a three count giving the win to the Valiants!!  The Champions just stole another one!!

INTERMISSION
After the Intermission it is announced that when the WWWF returns to Long Island,  the WWWF Tag Team Championship will be on the line when Tony Garea and “Irish” Pat Barrett challenge the Champions, Johnny & Jerry Valiant, with Special guest referee,  “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas!!! Also, Chief Jay Strongbow will battle Jesse Ventura!!!

GORILLA MONSOON VS. SPIROS ARION

The two old rivals clash once again. Arion and Monsoon waist no time, they know each other well and go right for the other's throats. Monsoon gets his hand raised in victory this go around when he pins Arion after a Big Splash. But everyone here can tell nothing has been settled between these two.

LARRY ZBYSZKO VS. STAN STASIAK

The former WWWF Champion returns here tonight and draws a tough opponent in the young Larry Zbyszko. Larry controls most of the match, but old age and treachery can sometimes get the best of even the most skilled youngster and thats what happens here as Stasiak ends up getting a victory with the Heart Punch.

”MR. USA” TONY ATLAS VS. PAT PATTERSON

Patterson uses every trick in the book, not to mention a fork and a chain. Patterson has Atlas bleeding early, but can't put him away. Atlas is able to surge back and after 20 minutes of intense action forces Patterson to submit to the Full Nelson in what has to be considered a major upset!!!!

Atlas-Patterson would have been very good, as would Atlas-Steele. Good WWWF action made better by the legendary Dr. Red Fang.  Smiley

Poor old Charlie Fulton. He can't win anywhere.

Prince Kumali seems to be an interesting competitor as does Dr. Red Fang.

Love The Valiants here. The challenges of Garea/ Barrett and Jones/ Atlas are very good.

Patterson going down at the hands of Atlas is an upset alright.

Too bad Putski had to lose to Volkoff.

Nice win by Monsoon over Arion.

Great WWF action.
