11/7/77 the Grand Olympic Auditorium Los Angeles,CA SIN taping live- Miguel Alonzo-Luis Magana host syndicated version- Dick Lane host Dick Lane welcomes us to the show and say that BIG news is spreading across the AWA with two major title changes within the past week.... 1. John Tolos-Lord Alfred Hays defeat Los Brazos in the first bout. Luis Magana is joined by the new NORTH AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT champion, Negro Navarro. he goes on to say that Los Misioneros de la Muerte is nowhere near being done with their plans in NACW...the NA title is just the start... AWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT champion, Nick Bockwinkel talks with Jeff Walton. they talk about the talent in NACW, specifically Don Muraco..Bockwinkel says that he has "no need to apologize to Muraco IF i did in fact kick him in the face. If i did, it was accidental. Muraco is a grown man..he should accept that and move on with life..." 2. Perro Aguayo pins Hector Lamas. Lane is joined now by Roddy Piper...."Mr. Lane..you know it and these people know it that i am R-P..Roddy Piper and that i am the greatest gosh darn wrestler in the world...but i have been robbed...robbed by that pipsqueak Bill Dundee"..Lane then acknowledges that Dundee defeated PIper last wednesday to win the AWA WORLD JR HEAVYWEIGHT title..." BUT Mr Lane..(his voice rises now), i am STILL R-P..and i will not let this go quite so easil..." BAM!!!! Piper is stunned as he is attacked from behind by Masa Fuchi. Hiro Matsuda walks out and watches Fuchi as he assaults Piper endlessly. Piper tries to fight back but is staggering..then from the back comes help from . . . . . MICHAEL HAYES!!!!! Hayes comes to fight Fuchi off of Piper!!! Matsuda then attacks Hayes. they double team him and as their backs are turned, Piper gets up and pulls Matsuda off of Hayes. he spins Matsuda around and slaps his hands around Matsuda's head...Fuchi runs off and Matsuda crawls to the back as Piper tends to Hayes.. 3. a VTR from last week is shown of Sal Lotahrio getting hogtied by Navarro-el Texano... as the match begins, Tolos-Hayes walk out demanding that Gene LeBell talk to them... new NORTH AMERICAN champ, Negro Navarro battles Sal Lothario now. they fight hard as Lothario wants some revenge. at the 8:57 mark, Lothario is pinned by the champ... AWA and NACW representative Gene LeBell joins Hays-Tolos...Tolos tells him.."where are these NORTH AMERICAN tag champs, Rip Hawk-Swede Hansen..we ain't seen them around here for weeks now..where are they?? we want our title match!!!! and if we can't get a title match, we demand that we be awarded those belts right now!!!" LeBell responds that the current champions will be back in NACW soon and that they will be getting a title match. LeBell also announces that on Thanksgiving night in Ventura, CA. the NACW will feature a big one night JR heavyweight tournament to determine the #1 contender for the new WORLD JR champion, Superstar Bill Dundee... 4. a new masked man, The Inferno debutes on tv as he defeats Jerry Estrada the show goes off as Aguayo challenges Navarro for the NA title... -------------------------------------------------------------- in dark bouts after tv: Terry Gordy, with Lord Alfred Hays loses to Miguel Perez Masa Fuchi, with Hiro Matsuda pins Jack Bence. AWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: the Love Borthers vs Los Guerreros. the Loves return to NACW to defend against the hated brothers. the Guerreros do everything they can do tear up the champs. but, they are the champs...Hartford has Armando in and abdominal stretch and Reginald kicks him in the gut....Armando goes down. they then double team Chavo. they do not stop. eventually, the Loves are DQ'ed for the double teaming, even though it was against the illegal man.... AWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: Nick Bockwinkel vs Cowboy Bob Yuma. Yuma goes after the champ. Bockwinkel is on his game here. both men fight hard in a brutal by the rules match. at the 19 minute mark, Bockwinkel delivers an atomic drop to Yuma. he follows with two vertical suplexes. he covers Yuma and gets the 1..2..3!!! Bockwinkel successfully defends the title. nacw bobby r yates.
