My grandfather raced in the very first Daytona 500, and a few after that. They used to pick on him because he was so worried he would go in the lake and drown since he couldn't swim, so he wore a life jacket and had an Aqua Lung in his car. Normally we all go to his house and watch the race, but my grandmother is pretty sick, so we didn't go.  Watching my 2  year old get excited watching the cars go around the track is allot of fun, and I hope that my grandfather is around long enough to tell him some stories of those when NASCAR was called Grand National, and drivers had more guts then brains.  
 
 As for this years race, Toyota is going to run away with it, and probably with the whole damn season.
