I finally got around to updating this thingy. My personal thanks to Todd, Kevin, James, Tiffany and their families and friends who came out and Friday night and have been extremely loyal supporters of StormForce Wrestling. Also thanks to Doug Walker who made an appearence and pushed his book "Scaffold".
It was a wild night of action at the Knightdale Recreation Center Friday March 14th as StormForce Wrestling blew in at full gale. Not only was it an action packed card from top to bottom but thanks to our fantastic fans we raised hundreds of dollars worth of food and clothing for the Knightdale Food Pantry, located at Knightdale Methodist Church.
In a fast-paced opener it was the
“High Flyin’ Death Defyin’” Kamikaze Kid against
“The Obsession” Caleb Konley. It was an evenly matched battle between two of the best cruiserweights in the area. Kazi won the match with a froggy splash from the top turnbuckle.
Corey Edsel w/Brad Stutts defended his StormForce North Carolina against Justin Feeche. After a lengthy introduction by Stutts, Corey and Justin started off evenly with both guys doing some serious mat wrestling. With a powerful full nelson suplex, Edsel defeated Feeche to retain his title.
Destiny members, Jake Manning, Joey Silvia and Ty Dillinger came out and let their feelings known about how lousy Knightdale and Raleigh is compared to Charlotte. Then trashed the Mack Brothers and 2007 Rookie of the year Kimo who was sitting at ringside.
Charlie Dreamer and Louis Moore defended their StormForce US Tag Titles against Vicious and Delicious Big Daddy Edwards and Issac Daniels. Daniels and Edwards looked impressive in their StormForce debut using their size and speed respectively, but it was the tag team experience of Moore and Dreamer that couldn’t be denied. The champs retained the tag team titles when Louis small packaged Daniels to get the win.
Joey Silvia put his TarHeel State Challenge Title up in a tag match, as he, Jake Manning, and Ty Dillenger, aka Destiny, took on
TJ and Kirby Mack, Team Macktion. Destiny came out and started ragging on the fans again. Team Macktion came out to the cheers of the crowd. Both teams went at each other fast and furiously with the Mack Brothers at one point hitting a double 619 on Manning, Slivia and Dillinger. The Mack Brothers picked up the victory but not the belt as they pinned Dillinger after the 10minute time limit for the belt.
Corey Edsel and Brad Stutts came back out and demanded more competition. Challenging anyone in the back, Stutts and Edsel said they’d put the North Carolina title up for grabs. The fans in the gym exploded when the sensational
Justin Flash came thru the curtain. Stutts and Edsel started running down the impressive young star saying he didn’t have what it takes to be in the same ring with someone like the champ. Flash quieted the two by decking Stutts and his charge to start the match. Flash looked impressive in the early going, but Edsel started using his size advantage. Edsel nailed Flash with a clothesline that sent him reeling. Corey, at one point, had Justin pinned but pulled him up. Edsel would regret this decision. As Corey had Flash up on the turnbuckles ready for a huge suplex, Justin battled out of it sending Edsel crashing to the mat. Then Flash delivered a picture perfect flying bodypress toppling Edsel and getting the pinfall for the victory and the title.
In the Main Event, subbing for
StormForce Atlantic Champion KC McKnight,
Sudden Impact Louis Moore took on
Violence From Virginia’s Big Time Mike Booth w/ Daren Stone. Booth and Stone ragged on McKnight and challenged the StormForce Champion to dare show his face at the Clayton Fitness Center on Friday April 18th, as they are bringing in former TNA Wrestling Superstar David Young to challenge KC McKnight. Moore answering the call and filling in for his ailing friend, started strong against Booth and at one time nailed both Mike and his manager outside the ring. Booth took over leveling Moore with a series of suplex and slams. As Booth punished Moore, he and Stone yelled out for McKnight. Moore fired back with a series of chops, backdrop and clotheslines leveling the much more experienced Mike Booth. As Louis snared Booth with a sunset flip pin, Stone distracted referee Katie Kincaid. Moore then went to deal with Stone, Stone then dropped his Virginia flag on the ring apron. While Moore and Kincaid were dealing with Stone, Booth grabbed the flag and nailed him with a shot to the midsection… doubling him over and gaining a dubious victory. After the match while Moore was still down, Booth kicked and stomped Louis and then slapped on the sharpshooter, a favorite hold of KC McKnight, injuring his back in the process. Charlie Dreamer hit the ring and chased Booth off. Moore, with the help of Dreamer and Kincaid made it back to the dressing room where he collapsed and couldn’t get back to his feet. He was taken to WakeMed, by ambulance, where he was treated for a lower back injury and released.
After being released from the hospital, Louis Moore said is looking forward to facing Mike Booth and a Capture the Flag rematch in Clayton on April 18th. Moore said if Daren Stone interferes this time, “I’ll grab that flag and ram it up his….”
Assuredly KC McKnight will defend the StormForce Atlantic States Title against “The Messiah of the Spinebuster” former TNA Wrestling Superstar
David Young.
