Worth watching nowadays...
Mar 12th, 2008, 9:46pm

Went to the ppv Sunday at The Scope , it was amazing. Today I got the Jan. PPV DVD and I will be watching the shows from now on , until this point I just thought it was horrible. But 2008 will be the year of TNA. Oh yeah , and Awesome Kong is awesome!

I completely agree with you. No one ever said that TNA can't put on a great PPV.  The problem is Impact, which should be the vehicle through which to gain PPV buys is an incoherent inconsistent mess. One look at the buyrates validates that point. I dunno. Maybe they don't care how bad Impact is and assume they are going to sellout PPV's by luck?

tell me the triple tag match of LAX, Roc n Rave Connection, and the Motor City Machine Guns wasnt 1 of the best tag matches you have seen a such a long time ?????

TNA is working if they continue with wrestling and not gimmicks then they should improve much this year

X division would be great for Greg Helms as well

really the turnoff was the whole Abyss , Mitchell , Judas storyline with Sting , murder and so many twists and turns it just lost focus...
Abyss is away while they come up with a new gimmick and Judas has left , hopefully Father James will return as managers seem to be fading away too soon for my tastes. But yes , I do think people like Angle and Booker as well as Joe and A.J. just deliver so much in ring and the Dudleyz are always gonna get booed or cheered but at least a reaction. Many good things to come!

As I said in my post....PPV's: not the problem(well attendance is, but I'll get to that)
House Shows: not the problem(see above)
BIG Problem: Impact.  how anyone on earth would be persuaded to order a show or buy a ticket by watching this incoherent, inconsistent train wreck is absolutely beyond me.

Do the guys and girls work hard?  Without a doubt.  Possibly the hardest working locker room there is.

Are the matches on those shows well worked and entertaining?  Yes mostly.

BUT, can any of the true diehard TNA fans that are left truly say that Impact is a well written, well structured show that created intriguing storylines, sets up meaningful angles, and works to build storylines up so that when a major show is happening, it feels important?  TNA can say that Lockdown , Turning Point and Victory Road are their flagship PPV's, but why?  Because they say so?

TNA admitted openly that Destination X was a 'throwaway PPV'. WHAT!?!  So by using that logic, are you not 'throwing your money away' if you order it?  Could you imagine if WWE said anything like this?  Me either. Shouldn't your weekly program make me believe that each and every PPV is special?  As I've said before, Impact could be great, it really could and I really REALLY want to enjoy it. However, the stupid angles need to go, AJ Styles needs to stop being booked like a complete moron and should be thrust into the main event scene immediately and not be treated like an afterthought, and TNA needs to use their incredible talent roster to build the show. Fix the X Division ASAP.  I hate to say this, but anyone out there who thinks Impact is working has their head in the sand.

I don't think the tvs are as bad as they used to be , we watched the "Best Of Joe" DVD the other night and many of those X-division guys were just guys with long hair who do moonsaults and dives to the floor , 10 guys who look alike basically and then you had Daniels , A.J. , and Joe. Now they are actually trying to give people gimmicks that set them apart from others , but it just takes time. I really like the new gimmicks of Roode and Petey , some people sould just be jobbers though , like Roaddog and Sonjay.

I've thought the last year of Impact was the worst year ever for TNA, some of the worst wrestling product I've ever seen anywhere. Some of the PPV's have been good, but nothing compared to what they were at one time to me.
