Has anyone ever went to a ROH event.  I have the opportunity for the first time coming up in a few months...Their debut in VA.  Do they have any kind of autograph session or gimmick tables or is it just straight wrestling?  Also is there merchandise there?  Thanks in advance.

I went to one of their shows in Philly last year.  I had a blast.  The wrestling was fantastic.  There were no autographs except for Misawa.  They were selling everything, though (dvds, shirts, etc.).  They had a great selection.

there probably won't be a sanctioned meet and greet, but if you hang out out back after the show you'll find that everyone is very personable for the most part (the staff on the other hand is a different story all together)... they sell all of their own merch, along with wwe and tna stuff... pretty much if you go to their online shop, theyll have most of that stuff there. the matches will blow you away if you've never seen the product before, the work ethic of the boys (and girls) there is nothing short of amazing.

The in-ring action in ROH is awesome.  Too bad I can't say the same about how they handle their fans.  DVDs and other merchandise is sold at shows, but there are rarely sanctioned autograph sessions during intermissions and, when there is, it's a little off-putting because they don't allow any sort of cameras into the shows.  So, say you shell out twenty or thirty bucks to meet your favorite star and get their autograph.  You're stuck getting soem craptastic Polaroid for your money, rather than a picture taken with your modern day camera.

Well worth the money, I am was very amazed that they handle the shows like the old NWA shows.  Great wrestling action, with very little to no WWE crap style.  Like Kangaroo said they do not allow any digital movie cameras, but I went to them in Cleveland and Dayton, Ohio.  I took great pictures with my Cannon Sure-shot($50/barrow/Fuji Disposables).  I am partial to Fuji on disposables for I have found that they take the best pictures and less than most major brands.   I have no problem burning 10 rolls at these events.  Get Ringside if available, although they have been know to fight in the crowds.  As far as autographs,  get there early and stay after the event.  They will usually be behind the shirt stand selling especially Nigel, Delirious and such.  I have had Nigel pose with my family.

They don't allow digital cameras PERIOD... or regular cameras.  The disclaimer is posted on their web site.  You were fortunate to get your cameras in to that event.

I attended a show at the Manhatten Center around New Years.  By far the best overall show I've seen in years.  Great action.

I first discovered them thanks to a couple of their regulars appearing at the fan fest matches last year.  Brian Danielson in incredible.

You may also want to be on the lookout for their ppv's.  Less than half the cost of a WWE or TNA, and twice as good.

Though I haven't been to that many ROH events,I've never had a problem bringing my camera in with me.
