Horrible live show...
Mar 29th, 2008, 7:01am

I can't believe how horrible this show was , the big chance in front of some out of town Wrestlemania weekend people as well as a live broadcast in front of people who might have never seen the product. In ring , as I said before TNA has good workers like Angle and Joe and Styles. The womens match was top notch too! But the skits with fake Macho Man and So Cal Val as well as the "shoot" comments between Roaddog and Billy Gunn were way too corny. Another killer is the whole Karen/Kurt storyline where she moved out with the kids. It's becoming WCW 2000 which was a poor attempt to be WWF 1997/8.

I was going to comment, but I've said all I can think to say about TNA... Every step forward seems to come with a leap backward.

jbl, I am sure stomping ground and others don't live by te boards. Many of us haven't posted a brainless million posts about who their faviorite is or if vince didn't ?#@@@ pat pattersons  @@@##. The product on tna is still superior to any match from wrestlemania or raw. you are just one of the brainwashed masses, but I knew that from your name. I have seen many of the main eventers from tna and many lower teer talent as well. Shark boy or petey williams( well maybe not shark boy) have more wrestling ability than cena or orton or the undertaker. the tna talent rises above and the wwf talent doesn't.  Angry

I have to stick up for JBLCENAFAN here. He is a big fan of TNA and wants them to succeed as I do.  So many of his posts are pro-TNA.  However one can't deny that Impact needs help.  The show is a floundering mess.  The talent is there without a doubt as they have one of the most impressive rosters ever.  Their live events are outstanding, and their Pay Per Views are generally very good.  I myself am just amazed at how terrible Impact is, and I really hope it is fixed soon as I would really like a compelling, entertaining alternative to WWE programming.

Yes , the ppvs always deliver , the live events always deliver. It is just the skits and the rush of impact that I don't understand. Angle has said in interviews that they are going for more of a MMA type match at Lockdown , I really think that will be good. I am more into the ground and pound/ submission type matches with tons of reversals and near falls.

Joe should not have lost to Angle in the first match they had , putting over a guy because he is a former WWE star makes no sense. That is what killed WCW , the NWO killed everyone until they started fighting each other. And who beat Hogan first after he went heel? Former WWF star Roddy Piper. I really think when TNA first got on Spike the show should have been built around Joe , AJ , and Abyss... too much junk in between their matches.

I was at this show as part of my crazy Mania weekend. It was a fun show with a hot, packed crowd, but all those goofy backstage segments and interviews are the drizzling shits....

And then you watch the PPV and Joe / Angle is an early MOTY candidate....and you have to wonder why can't they just focus on the good stuff that gets over and sells tickets. They've good a great roster of talent, good TV & financial backing, and they have the best chance of any company outside WWE & WCW to become a serious player, and I'd love to see them succeed. But its hard to care sometimes when they mess up so much JD Costello....

Synn.....I totally agree with you! Russo is killing TNA. If Dixie and Jeff would just get smart and fire him and bring in Paul Heyman.....Things could turn around for them!
