May 14, 1966 LEXINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA Popular TEX McKENZIE was the subject of dispute by RIP HAWK and SWEDE HANSON after they lost last week's wrestling feature here to GEORGE BECKER and JOHNNY WEAVER. HAWK claims that McKENZIE shoved WEAVER into position for the winning fall, and THE BLONDE BOMBERS are so angry at the cowboy for his "participation" that they have challenged lanky TEX and his swift-moving buddy NELSON ROYAL to meet them in tonight's LEXINGTON YMCA main wrestling event. The Texas duo agreed willingly to the challenge, pointing to a scorcher of a two-of-three-falls match. Two winners from last week, IKE EAKINS and GORY GUERRERO, meet in the semifinal encounter, with two other single matches opening the 8:15 card. May 21, 1966 LEXINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA Wrestling fans will get a chance to witness a rematch between the teams of TEX McKENZIE and NELSON ROYAL and RIP HAWK and SWEDE HANSON at the LEXINGTON YMCA tonight. Demands for the return came after the popular Texans lost a disputed match to THE BLONDE BOMBERS last Saturday night. It has been contended that HAWK used the ropes in an illegal manner to produce the decisive fall when ROYAL was in position to win it all for his team. The two-out-of-three-falls tag team match highlights the card which also contains the following other matches: Newcomer PAUL DEMARCO meets IKE EAKINS in the semifinal. KARL GOTCH takes on CORSICA JEAN, while two other newcomers, RAY GARDINI and KEN HOLLIS, clash in the 8:15 opening contest of the evening. May 28, 1966 LEXINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA Falls will be increased when TEX McKENZIE and NELSON ROYAL battle RIP HAWK and SWEDE HANSON for the third consecutive Saturday in LEXINGTON YMCA's main event wrestling feature tonight at 8:15. This time around, it will be the BEST THREE OF FIVE FALLS to determine a winner. THE BLONDE BOMBERS, HAWK and HANSON, are claiming the Texas duet won last week's battle illegally with a "fourth" fall after they had already beaten TEX and NELSON in two-out-of-three. The villains appear to be in the minority with that statement. However, the cowboy fan favorites are more than willing to meet the blondes in the extended match. Another tag encounter tonight will see the return of THE FLYING SCOTTS, GEORGE and SANDY, against the bruiser brother German team of KURT and HENRY VON STROHEIM. This team match is for two-out-of-three falls. Two supporting matches pit North Carolina's own LUTHER LINDSAY against ALEX MEDINA, while popular ABE JACOBS returns to meet EL GAUCHO.
