Southern States Wrestling returns to the Kingsport National Guard Armory (4401 West Stone Dr.) Friday, May 2, with an 8:00 PM start. The night is being billed as a Night of All Stars featuring the AWA World Champion and Stars from around the country.
 
For the first time since July 1988 the AWA World Champion will be in east Tennessee as new champion Brian Logan will compete in a non title match. The Champion will also sign contracts to face top area wrestlers in the future. Logan is no stranger to this area as he has competed here since the days of Smokey Mountain Wrestling. He made his return to the area in November of last year and has been on a tare. Logan won the AWA gold April 18 in Fayetteville WV from "Living Legend" Larry Zbysco.
 
The Main Event of the night will feature the very popular :High Risk" Robbie Cassidy as he will defend his National Title against the very capable C.M. Sigmon from Knoxville.
 
The ring will be full and the excitement on high as U.S. Tag Champions "Kingof Kingsport" Beau James and Moe Jenkins will have their hands full defending their belts against three teams in a 4 corners challenge. The match will continue until only one team is left standing. The challengers are TCW Champions Jamey Gibson of Atlanta and Jeff Storm of Memphis, former champions and exciting team of Wayne Adkins and Nick Hammonds of Kingsport, and the last team entered is the North East Champions Nick Paradise and Kory Castle from New York.
 
The rookie sensation Misty James will battle Northeast Ladies Champion Roxy Cotton in what should be a wild women's match.ALso on the card is former TV Champion Thorn, The Young Gun Cody Ices, The Great Bolo, Adam York and more.
