So sad.  I pray that God's grace and mercy will comfort her family and friends.  We have lost a truly classy lady.  May she rest in peace.

Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience!

What we kind of all knew, but dreaded, comes to pass.  Penny was a bright and shining light that you couldn't help but adore.  She was a wonderful gal, and I am so pleased to have had her friendship over the years.  I will remember her smile and great personality, and all that she did for those around her.  And what a remarkable performer!  Truly one of a kind.  My deepest sympathies to Wendy and the rest of her family.  Rest well, Ms. Banner.  SOH.

My thoughts and prayers are with Wendy and her extended family at this time. It has to be very tough for her, having just lost her Dad and now her Mom, and right after Mother's Day. Please remember this family.

Penny, what a gem! You will be remembered as one of the best. I will miss you!

Here's one of my favorite photos from previous fanfests. This was taken at our second fanfest weekend, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Two real sweethearts, Sherri Martel and Penny Banner.

I must echo Sir Oliver's feelings.  Penny was a great lady and a true professional.  Her daughter, Wendi emailed me a couple of weeks ago and mentioned that her mom wasn't doing well, but Penny hoped to attend her induction into the Geoge Tragos/Lou Thez Hall of Fame in late June.

I can only imagine how difficult a time it is for Wendi.  Losing her dad and mom within 3 months of each other has got to be emotionally traumatic.

My thoughts and prayers go out to her.

A few years ago I got this bright idea to do a thing I bravely called Dinner with a Legend at the restaurant I owned with my then Stepfather. The first one was with Ole Anderson, the second was with Penny. I still remember Greg calling me and suggesting her. Penny's book was coming out, and the deal at the restaurant would serve as her first book signing. I tell you what, everyone had a blast that night.  Before she left that night she gave me a copy of her book and in the inscription thanked me for her 1st book signing. Every time I saw her after that she would always thank me for having her at the restaurant. I only did one more Dinner with a Legend before chalking it up to a bad idea, but I was always glad that I could host Penny and her book signing. She was truly a class act, and the world is a little poorer without her in it.

My sincerest condolensces go out to Wendy and her family. To lose a father and mother in such a short amount of time has to be difficult. RIP, Penny. I didn't know much about her, but she was a pleasure to meet at the first Fanfest.

Funny story I'll share. At the Fanfest in Fayetteville I took my son, Kodey, who was 8 at the time. Penny was there and Kodey was getting pictures of all the wrestlers autographed for a photo album for himself and his cousin, Jacob (RIP). Kodey came across the photo of Penny in a bathing outfit and then saw Penny and he was like that's not her. I was explaining to him that the photo was taken many years earlier, but nevertheless, Penny was still a beautiful person, no matter the age.
