45 YEARS AGO TO THE DAY
Jun 13th, 2008, 9:29am

Saturday, June 14, 1963
Lexington, North Carolina

Professional wrestling, postponed last week, returns this Saturday night to the Lexington YMCA with another all-star card featuring a battle of huge wrestlers.

The Mighty Kentuckians, TINY ANDERSON and BIG BOY BROWN, with a combined weight of 706 pounds, meet a new and huge team of GEORGE (Crybaby) CANNON and GEORGE (Two Ton) HARRIS, who weigh in at 626 pounds. The match is a one-hour, two of three falls encounter.

HARRIS is returning to the area after serving out a six month expulsion over a loss of a match to JOHNNY WEAVER. The loser of that match had to leave the state for six months.

JESSE JAMES and PAT O'HARA meet in the semi-final, and the opener matches FRANK MARCONI, a newcomer, against KEN YATES.

Action begins at 8:15 p.m.

Thanks for posting this Bolo. I only got to see Crybaby and Two-Ton team on tv a few times. They made a pretty good team.

George Becker to Charlie Harville:"You are looking at the next Worlds Champeen!" referring to Johnny Weaver in 1965.
