NBC's Meet the Press host Tim Russert died earlier today at the age of 58 while recording dubovers for Sunday's show.

Talk about a shock.  As a political junkie myself, I always enjoyed Russert's coverage and insight.  He was the best of what the national networks had to offer against the cable news giants.  Very shocking indeed.

I know that he was a political journalist, but he was, more than that, a famous face on TV. I don't normally watch Meet the Press, but I did watch it a few weeks back while in Virginia.
