Ric Flair in SMW-Would it have worked?

Seeing as how Flair left WCW in 1991, due to a dispute with Jim Herd, imagine had Flair opted to go to SMW in 1992.  Have much of an impact do you think that would have had on the company, as far as long term success???

Well, considering Smoky Mountain was the closest to a true old-school territory at the time and toured Flair's old stomping grounds, I'm certain that it would have been the TOP independent and with Flair aboard, would have thrived as a legit territory for awhile.

Absolutely.  With the talent that the company already had, Flair would have been the icing on the cake.  Man, I miss SMW.  That was the last of the true independent regionals

If you are a fan of SMW, I would love to get your thoughts and feelings about pro wrestling in Appalachia. I am in the process of writing an article and want to get fan's thoughts on how pro wrestling influenced their childhood by watching matches on TV and/or attending matches in person. You can email me at emelniczek@gmail.com to get a rough draft of the journal article that I am planning to submit to an Appalachian journal for inclusion....
