in my small town i sure enough had to rely on the small indy groups that would pass through from time to time...but even then i remember they really put on a good show most of the time, we had a group called iwa and southern wrestling, like i guess many towns did, but looking back they did a decent job, i even remember a younger  george south on some of the shows....and how they would usually advertise someones name that sounded like a very popular wrestler, and then maybe somone who never showed up????? names like say  the assasins, or the destroyer,or superstar, then names like jimmy valentine, nic flair, ace anderson, jason idol, either way it was fun when i couldn't see the best, just thought i'd share and see if anyone else has memories of indy groups they saw?

What town did you live in. When you say IWA that could either be Ken Spence or possibly Viper as they both ran under the IWA name.
