Matches were held at the Greensboro Coliseum the day of Starrcade '87, in conjunction with a closed circuit feed. Anyone have the full results? Thanks.

I believe this is what you're looking for Brad. Via Mid-Atlantic Gateway from Bobby Yates:

1. The Warlord, with Paul Jones beat Ricky Santana
2. Florida Championship: Mike Rotunda successfully defended the title by beating Black Bart (with manager Skandor Akbar)
3. Seven Woman $15,000 Battle Royal: Misty Blue beat Whitney Hansen, Linda Dallas, Kat La Rue, Jamie West, Venus, Mad Dog Debbie
4. Hiro Matsuda lost to Kevin Sullivan
5. Ivan Koloff (with manager Paul Jones) lost to the Mighty Wilbur

Excellent, thanks!

Was there also a card that day in New Orleans, coupled with a closed circuit feed? If so anyone have results for that?

I didn't even know there was a card going on the day of Starrcade 87. I was wondering where some of the stars were that night in Chicago and why there were only 7 matches. I guess this explains it.

yeah, to me..this is the card that killed greensboro.
after all the great Thanksgiving bouts and annual big shows..this is what we got. the crowd never accepted not having the big bouts in greensboro on thanksgiving night and the attendence proved it. the crowd just got smaller and smaller after this night...

Even the wrestlers who headlined at the time said it was a HUGE mistake to move Starrcade away from Greensboro. Ron Garvin said it was insulting to all of the fans that had faithfully suported the company for so may years to move the biggest show right out from under them and send it to what was considered a "better city" for the big show. To me it didn;t matter what town it was in as long as it was good. I am not sure there was even one fan that was thinking "well Starrcade has a good line up, but I am not sure I want to make the purchase.......  Oh wait , you say the show is in Chicago....let me call my cable company and order right now."

I remember them pluggging live matches in New Orleans for Thanksgiving night on the UWF TV show leading up to Starrcade. Jack Gregory mentioned that Jimmy Valiant & Bugsy McGraw vs Mod Squad would be one of the matches.

They also hyped a UWF Tag Title match between the New Breed vs Sheepherders if I am thinking right. I want to think it may have even been acage match they were building up. Does anybody have results of the New Orleans live matches portion of Starrcade 87?
