One of the most interesting evenings of wrestling in the Charleston area will be presented Monday at 8 p.m. at the Civic Center. Featured on the outstanding card are wrestlers that are seen on television  each week on “All Star Wrestling”.
 
A new wrestling ring has just been purchased by the Lashinsky Brothers (Gary and Phil) for the presentation of All Star Wrestling every third week here in Charleston. It is regulation size, 18 x 18 and is built for one purpose only- wrestling! The ring should provide considerably more action than ever before in Charleston.
 
The main event will be for the Southern Tag Team Championship with George Becker and Johnny Weaver putting their title on the line against the notorious two-some of Rip Hawk and Swede Hanson.
 
Becker and Weaver are two of the most popular and talented wrestlers in the country. Johnny Weaver is also the Southern Heavyweight Champion. They have met Hawk and Hanson before and the result has been wild and bloody matches.Hawk and Hanson are two of the toughest and meanest grapplers to ever enter the ring. Rip Hawk uses a very controversial hold called the “Piledriver”, which is a dangerous hold. Becker has tried to use it on Hawk but has been unsuccessful to date.
 
With the title at stake in this match, both teams will be going all out for victory. It could be called “the battle of the Piledrivers”. It will be the best of three falls with a one hour time limit.
 
In another tag team battle, Ronnie and Terry Garvin will take on Bobby Red Cloud and Chief Little Eagle.The Garvin Bros., who come  from Canada, are a highly rated tag team and will do all they can to win their matches.They are rugged and tough but will have their hands full with Red Cloud and Little Eagle, two of the top Indian wrestlers. The action will be fast and furious right from the opening bell in this match.
 
Darling Dagmar will face Diamond Lil in a female midget match.
 
In singles competition, the sensational “Amazing Zuma” meets “Bulldog” Lee Henning and in the opener, young Les Thatcher goes against Jim Grabmire.
