You guys kill me, you act as if Adamle is really going to be making decisions. He is an on air talent playing a roll. The only decisions he will be making will be the ones they tell him too make. They will tell him what to say, when to say it, etc..... and besides look at the bright side it might keep him away from the announcers table.

and Adamle is a marginally better actor than Vicie Guerrero

The smart thing to do would be to fire him. He know absolutely nothing about pro wrestling. Everything he says is either obvious or cliche. Plus, the Raw GM job should have gone to someone who has been in the wrestling business for years. Such as Ric Flair, "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase, Dusty Rhodes or "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

As for Mike Adamle, he fits in to the WWE very well as things are today.  Reason is that WWE is trying to bring drama of "faces" vs "heels" in a 21st century way and entertain fans (including fans that may be smart to some of the old "signs").  First, the issue of faces and heels.  In the "old days," it was pretty black and white--and things were booked as such.  There were good guys (smile at the camera, slap hands with fans) and bad guys (cheat and put down fans).  Today, fans know that the outcomes of matches are predetermined--along with other things that were protected information in the "old days."  WWE knows this and their most successful heel in the past few years is a real-life heel, Edge.  Put it this way:  Edge has missed a ton of action due to injury over the last 4 years, fooled around with his friends girl, got put in spot many feel he is not deserving of, won championships in the cheapest of ways, and on and on.  Vickie as GM doing that whole romance with Edge angle could be viewed as dumping on the memory of Eddy--another real-life heel move.  Another example is Hulk Hogan (playing heel) a few years back when he smashed The Rock (playing face) up in that ambulance on Raw--the crowd cheered.  The people felt a sense of nostalgia with Hogan, and thus cheered him no matter what he did to the Rock.  Imagine if he did that to Ric Flair--the people would never have had a positive reaction.  Not saying I like it, but Adamle is just another extension of the WWE today.
 
Second thing is the issue of the protected secrets of the "old days."  Stuff like the referee crossing his arms to signify an injury in the ring--people know about this type of signal, so WWE uses them to keep fooling fans.  Remember the Money in the Bank match that had Flair in it.  IIRC, a referee crossed his arms after checking on an "injured" Flair--somebody I was watching WM with was like, "Flair is legit hurt--look at the ref," and I was saying that they did that to fool guys that know that as a sign from the old days.

He gets heat. That is all that matters.

The latest reports say that Raw GM Mike Adamle is working with trainers and that WWE has planned to put him in the ring at some point in the "GM storyline". I find that somewhat laughable, commentators should commentate, GM's should manage, and the McMahon family should never have entered the ring as somewhat active wrestlers. Adamle as a wrestler will be a ratings disaster, IMO....
 
More Sid Vicious rumors, some insiders are reporting that John Laurinitis is excited about the possibility of Sid returning to Raw. Sid himself said that there has been no agreement made, and no contract signed, and at this point, it's all rumors.
