Trying to sort things out
Aug 22nd, 2008, 10:08pm

If I remember correctly, I read on onlineworldofwrestling.com that the company had "made the switch" to Continental by '86.  Was this the case? Was Ron Fuller still running the company, or had it changed hands to David Woods?

Who was still with the company by then?  As I've mentioned in other threads, I'm studying '86 in general, but this one is a bit more important to me as I'm from Tennessee and my family used to attend Fuller's shows every chance they had.

Southeastern became Continental in June 1985. Fuller was still running it. He ran it till he sold out to Woods in Feb 1988. They made the switch to CCW and moved the TV out of the studio because they wanted to look bigger and the TV was being syndicated. They never wanted to run out of the area but wanted to get the TV out to get national, sponsors.

The main guys in there when it switched over were

Austin Idol
Bob Armstrong
The Fullers
Jimmy Golden
Bill Ash
Tommy Rich
Steve and Scott Armstrong
Boomer H Lynch
Roberto Soto
The Flame
Jerry Stubs
The Nightmares
and a few more

Alright, thank you.  I'd been wondering about that for a while now.

Once I get a little more space between me and some bills that I let slide for the trip to Fanfest, you'll probably be hearing from me about some of those dvds you have.
