Mid Atlantic Announcers Questions
Sep 8th, 2008, 6:28am

I think Bob Caudle was one of the best annoucers ever in wrestling either alone or with someone. This is not a knock on David Crockett but why in the world did they need to give Bob an announcing partner on MACW. I mean you had one of the best ever wrestling announcers Did Bob want a color commentator?

can't answer your question, but i want to remind you of the period when Lord Alfred Hays was Caudle's colour man back in '81 and '82. they were a tremendous team.

I most certainly remember when Lord Alfred  Hayes was his color commentator as a heel. He used to play the really snobbish upercrust character talking trash about johnny weaver when he couldnt hear him until weaver found out and they had a feud.

Saw a texas death match between Johnny Weaver & Lord Alfred Hayes in Collinsville Va.

Great match Johnny took 2 brutal piledrivers and still won the match. Didnt Hayes refer to Johnny as a Jackass or a mule he used to have to regularly beat?

soory, i can't recall if he referred to Weaver as that or not.
i thought Hays was a better colour man with Caudle BEFORE he turned heel manager... like when he first got here for like..3 or 4 months. i thought he was great. added a different atmosphere to the show.

I do recall that Lord Alfred usually referred to Johnny as "Mister" Weaver, with the Mister always said very sarcastically.

He once told a story that once weaver found out started there feud Hayes had a mule that was just like Johnny weaver and he had to beat him daily to make him obey.
