BUDDY ROGERS, haughty holder of the U.S. HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP belt, will meet THE BRUTE in the two-out-of-three falls main event of another king-sized wrestling card slated for the CHARLOTTE COLISEUM tonight.  
   
One of the most lively cards ever planned will back up the match between the two well-known mat figures. As can be expected, it's being organized and handled by JIM CROCKETT, the South's top wrestling promoter.  
   
ROGERS, who has appeared on numerous television productions in the Carolinas, will be making his first appearance before an arena audience in CHARLOTTE. He has gained great fame for his skill in the ring and unusual wrestling holds, particularly the "figure four grapevine".  
   
THE BRUTE, a product of Fairbanks, Alaska, weighs in at 265 pounds, and is seeking fame in warmer areas than his native land. His favorite hold is the "Alaskan bear hug", and has won many matches using it on opponents.  
   
"THE BRUTE facing BUDDY ROGERS has thousands of wrestling fans talking," said promoter CROCKETT. "It should be quite a match. These two men are only two of many talented wrestlers who will appear tonight. ARGENTINA ROCCA will be on the card as well."  
   
ROCCA, the South American star, will clash with ANGELO SAVOLDI, a chap from New Jersey and former NATIONAL JUNIORWEIGHT CHAMPION, who more than knows his way around a wrestling ring.  
   
Newly crowned SOUTHERN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS, PAUL and MAURICE VACHON, will defend their titles against the worthy and popular duo of GEORGE BECKER and SANDY SCOTT.  
   
In girls' tag team action, midget BABY CHERYL teams with RITA CORTEX to face another midget-big girl combo of DARLING DAGMAR and JUDY GRABLE.  
   
Both tag matches are slated for the best-of-three falls.  
   
In other bouts, SWEET DADDY SIKI meets SHAG THOMAS, RAY VILLMER opposes P.Y. CHUNG and WALDO VON ERICH battles JACK CURTIS in the opener.  
   
Advance tickets can be purchased for tonight's event at the NATIONAL HAT SHOP in downtown CHARLOTTE or at the CHARLOTTE COLISEUM box office.  
   
The first bell is set for 8:15.
