What if anything does anyone remember about the Poffo Family in JCP Did Angelo wrestle too or was it just Randy and Lanny I guess that's what I really want to know if it was just the brothers or if their Father was with them

I know this was around mid 1970's or maybe later

I remember seeing Randy and Lanny wrestle regurlary on Monday nights at the Greenville Memorial Auditorium. Everyone could tell both of them had greater things in store. I remember some classics bouts with them against guys like Ronnie Garvin, Tiger Conway, Johnny Eagle, Red Bastein and others. If I can recall, it was around the 1976, early 1977 time frame. And yes, Angelo wrestled as well. I never saw the three of them team up in a six man but they would all be on the same card. I believe Lanny stayed around a little longer than Randy and their Dad. Those were the good old days. I miss those Monday nights.

I want to say that I remember Angelo teaming with the boys in a mid-card six man, but he usually just worked in their corner.

One of the first MACW shows I went to as a kid was around 1975 or 1976 at the original Charlotte Coliseum. It was around the time that Flair took the ringside table and busted Wahoo open with it (photos were printed in the Charlotte Observer showing Flair attacking Wahoo with a broken leg from the table.)

I believe I saw Angelo and the two sons in a 6-man here, but my memory isn't that good. Definitely remember them as being mid-carders at best, Angelo always wearing the 635, or whatever the number was, on his ring jacket which referred to his "world record" for sit-ups or something like that. I'm sure Barry or Mike can prob fill in a lot of the blanks here.

Greg,

I, too, was at the Charlotte Coliseum for the now legendary "table leg" match, and I remember the article in the Charlotte Observer. What a night that was.

I don't specifically remember the Poffos on that particular card, but am sure the three wrestled some in six man matches during their run in JCP.
