Can anyone date /  match clipping from the Sc
Oct 29th, 2008, 3:00pm  
I went to these matches in early 1986. I have no idea of the date but have many pictures from there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Going by Jim Cornettes Book i think I may have found the date:
June 21st 1986.
He entered James Boys(Magnum TA and Dusty Rhodes vs MX
in a  lumberjack match

That is one excellent card! I loved the James Boys angles on TV in May 1986, that is some really classic stuff. They never really followed up on it beyond the 3-4 weeks following the initial match on 5/3/86 on TBS. But the stuff that followed in the weeks after - - James Boys attempting to drag Cornette behind the pick-up, Midnights unmasking Frank James thinking it would be Dusty Rhodes only to find Tony Zane - - great stuff!!

The summer of 1986 was hot in Jim Crockett Promotions. I saw the Great American Bash live in Atlanta at the old Fulton County Stadium. I remember David Allan Coe doing a short concert and bringing out fat boy Duthy Rhodes and then Ricky Morton. The crowd cheered for Morton much more than Dusty. Also, when they came through Greenville, I saw a great match with Ric Flair defending his title against Ricky Morton. I think the match went over 20 minutes and Flair pinned Ricky with a little assist from the tights. There were some great matches that summer.

I believe this would have been right before the Bash. This was the first wrestling event I had ever attended and I can still remember the excitement in the crowd being almost as intense as when I went to Wrestlemania 24.  
I remember Ricky Morton bleeding like a stuck pig and then when the matched were over people were going up to the ring and pressing paper and bandanas into the blood on the mat. What a souvenior.

The James Boys angle went over soooooooooo well and Cornette put it over like the pro he was and continues to be
