Main Event Mafia
Nov 1st, 2008, 11:06am

I just watched TNA Impact for the first time in a few weeks this morning. I actually like the "Main Event Mafia" concept a lot for them. They just cannot afford to add any more members to it. Keeping it at five members would be the smart thing for them to do. Sting, Angle, Nash, Booker T and Scott Steiner make a very formidable group, and having the younger talent push to "overcome" them should make for good TV. TNA just cannot afford to drop the ball on this. I think TNA can increase their ratings if this angle is pushed right. Having Mick Foley aboard as GM can only help as well. But in my view, the big key is in keeping this stable limited in numbers, yet controlling things for a while.

The worst mistake that TNA could make would be to keep adding members like happened with the NWO. The whole NWO concept got waterd down when guys like Norton, Horace, Adams, etc started getting added to the mix. Keep it a small group and let them hold an advantage for a while before the younger guys take control.

I also am enjoying the Main Event Mafia angle.      It's not the Horsemen, but it's all we've got for now.

TNA has a lot of wrestlers that I'm starting to enjoy.............The Beautiful People (although I could do without Kipp), Awesome Kong lives up to her name, Gayle Kim,  ....Kurt Angle always cuts a great promo.

The WWE seems to quickly get stupid as soon as they get a good storyline going.  More and more I'm finding myself skipping Raw but making sure I catch "Impact"
