One again, the memory of this old man is stirred. I remember John L. Sullivan coming in and replacing Becker for a time. Nice to find out the real life reason why. These postings are great. Keep them coming, Mr. Hall.

I am glad you guys are enjoying these. To me they are priceless. I will be posting 1969 tomorrow.
 
To JeffofNC: Johnny Weaver used many different finishers in his matches over the years besides the "Sleeper". Before Dory Funk Jr. became the NWA Champion in 1969, Johnny had even used the "Spinning toe-hold" to win some of his matches.I don't believe Johnny used it after that.
