Flair's coming to Shelby in May for a fundraiser. I was happy to cover a story for the Shelby paper (my place of employment) about the wrestling history behind the venue and the TV tapings it hosted in the early to mid 80s. The parks director and Dick Bourne, of the Gateway, gave me a wealth of info to work with.
