Flair in Harrisonburg, VA  May 9

Is anybody planning on making the trip to Harrisonburg, VA this Saturday to see Ric ?    It's another FREE signing, at some place called Schewels Furniture Store.   He's supposed to be there from 2-5.
 
It's a nice Saturday.   2 hour drive for me.    This is too good of deal to pass up.  
 
Anybody else on the board planning to make this one ?

How did I not hear about this before now, being under 2 hours away in Richmond?  May have to make the drive up to check out the signing and swing by the old alma mater (JMU) as well.

I decided to pass on the Flair signing tomorrow.
 
I called the furniture place today to confirm everything was still on.      They're expecting about 2000 people.   Shocked
 
That's all fine, but here's where they lost me.   She told me that only 500 people were getting in.
 
WHAT ??
 
She said, "They're bringing him in the back.   We don't even get to meet him."
 
I asked her about the 1500 folks who might get left out in the cold, and she said she didn't know.
 
Now, things might work out just fine.  Ric might show up and everybody go away happy.
 
But making that drive to possibly get jack squat has convinced me to pass on this one.   Sorry Stunger.   Sorry NWAscorpion.
 
You guys have fun, and I'm sure you'll be on the board tomorrow night posting great photos from a historic appearance.........but I'm chickening out.
 
I'm sure I'll get another shot at Flair this August.   Right, Greg?????  Wink

Ended up driving to Harrisonburg from Richmond for this.  Left early enough to get there around 12.  We figured there were maybe 150 folks there ahead of us.  So not too bad.  However A LOT more showed up after that.  I'd guess there were easily over 1200 as the line went around the building and into the street out of view.  Most of those people showed up WAY to late though.  Signing started promptly at 2 but it took us a while to make progress.  We found out that people were taking pictures and it took them about an hour to realize this was not a good idea.  There was a one item limit but not sure if it was enforced early on.  We got to the front about 3:30.  It moved pretty quick once they stopped the picture taking.  Flair was great and as personable like you always hear about him.  I got him to sign the shot in the pink robe and he said "WOW" asked me how old it was.  He also showed the rep he had with him the other one and asked me about it as well.  He was great with the kids that were there too.
 
Long story short, worth the drive and the price was right  Wink
 
Oh, and the Schewels folks were really nice and had Little Ceasers pizza and even porta-johns brought in LOL.

Great time was number 30 on the line and got My WWE Classic series 9 figure signed by Ric Fliar was a great time can not wait to meet him again!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic !    I'm glad everything worked out.
 
It seems to me that Flair is having a GREAT TIME in retirement.   He seems so happy, and he looks really good.
 
Hey FlairandHogan11.........can you post some of your pictures ?   I can't get the link you posted to work.

I tried to upload each individual picture but I can not do it. Can someone please help me... Also anymore Ric Flair appearences in Virginia???
