If you're paying to get WWE 24/7 or WWE Classics as they call it now, you're no longer getting what you originally paid for.  All Matches that have blood are now shown only in black and white during the parts of the match where the blood can be seen close up.  So all the times guys like Flair and Rhodes cut themselves and scarred themselves for life, Vince McMahon has decided you can't watch those matches complete in color anymore.  They scarred themselves permanently and the footage of it is now being ruined.  As an adult, you aren't given the option to see the matches as they were originally recorded.  It's like they bled for nothing now.

I really hate this. I don't like seeing the footage edited and changed. All the WWE Attitude Era stuff is ruined by the blurs and editing out of "WWF" when they say it. The ECW footage is really hard to get into with all the original music changed. This blood stuff is just lame. It's not free TV, you're paying for it. It shouldn't be edited. I don't even understand it anyway. If you don't want your kids seeing a bloody match, does it really make a difference if it's black and white instead of color ? If something is adult orientated just rate it as such, that's what the ratings are for.

I have sat back and read this until now.
 
I pay for WWE 24/7 and have for almost 2 years. However, I find it very hard to watch the ECW crap they edit with the show opener edited with WWE production music and the entrances edited with the same...just very disappointing. Same goes for some of the NWA stuff where they edit out the entrance themes. I would rather they just edit out the music altogether and just dub in crowd noise. And to top it all off, they have someone in the office dub over Gary Michael Capetta's voice on some of the WCW PPV's just so they can edit the music to some, but not to others.
 
Before someone jumps in and tells me that WWE has to do that, there is no one stopping them from buying the rights to the music on those tapes. WWE has money and those of us paying for "WWE Classics on Demand" deserve such. Then again, it is "WWE" and not WCW or NWA. WWE holds the charge here, not us. I just find it discouraging and search for people like B Brown Video for my ECW stuff since they have original stuff with great quality.

Suppose you were wealthy and bought a museum full of classic paintings and you decided that some of the classic paintings from years and years ago weren't "kid friendly" so you had the paintings altered to get rid if any nudity or violence depicted. Don't you think that would be disgraceful?  There isn't anywhere else that people can see the pictures, and just because the artists got paid, that's your argument for it to be alright to alter these classics?
 
Vince McMahon owns classic film libraries which are very precious and beloved by fans of wrestling.  They aren't kids; they're adults.  But they can't view these films of matches in their original form just because of a marketing decision?  What do you suppose would be the public reaction if the owner of The Salvador Dali Museum or some other museum of a famous artist decided to change the original paintings so that nobody could see them in their original form?
 
This is a matter of respecting the work of these wrestlers and keeping the footage of the matches inatct for the sake of history, so that people can continue to watch these matches AS THEY WERE MEANT TO BE SEEN.
 
If Vince McMahon wants to market to kids that's fine but don't destroy great works that are captured on film and can't be seen anywhere else.  To do so is a huge disrespect to the wrestlers, the history of wrestling, and the people who love to see it.
 
RAW, Smackdown, and new ECW are already kid oriented.  They're on free TV.  The PPVs are kid oriented.  Is it too much to ask to allow an adult who is willing to spend his money to watch matches with the scenes of blood intact to have the ability to do that?  Children aren't buying WWE Classics subscriptions anyway.  You need to be an adult with a credit card to order WWE Classics.
