buy Steve, that is "dogs" opinion of how it would help the NWA, then that's his answer to your question.
what can Flair or anyone do? all these guys have egos that will keep the NWA dead. they don't want to work together.

Something I wanted to point out.

The  NWA : Will it come together finally or go away permanently ?
I always ask my self. What is the big deal ?   I heard  David Marquez speaking on You tube on a wrestling show and he stated the situation with the NWA. He Stated his is not the Head guy . The Head Guy is Robert Trobich whom is also a Lawyer and has been Counsel to the NWA since the Crockett Days and Has been appointed as Executive Director of the NWA since 2005 and really has done …… Nothing
I don’t know what or whom is in Control but things has go to change. This “Executive Director” thing is not only working but why was it created in the First place? It gets so frustrated, Rumor has it that ROH has suspended their Pay Per View shows on Cable/Satellite Television. The Executive Director is supposed to be like how Linda McMahon is to the WWE as CEO. But She will Do more than Trobich than I would ever  hear. The Guy Only cares about his law offices. He does nothing.  To me there are 3 People who should run the NWA as President, not Executive Director but President.

1- Jim Cornette
A True Traditionalist in the Word.  When he first got to TNA he was doing some House cleaning. Cornette also got experience as he ran his own Promotion , Smoky Mountain Wrestling in the Early to Mid 1990’s. That was a good Promotion.   Also he was a booker for Ohio Valley Wrestling .  But he is best remember as a Manager of the Midnight Express and the Heavenly Bodies.  Cornette Knows about the business and learn the Hard way about the Business. Working as Ring Announcer, Magazine Correspondent, Photographer, Public Relations ,Color Commentator, He had his stints as a Color Commentator in The NWA and WWE. So he would be the Perfect Choice For President of the NWA. But as plans hopes to come to pass , plans goes awry Cornette is now an employee of ROH. But I still think he could have play a role of  the NWA in some shape or form of fashion if things don’t work out in ROH

2- James J. Dillon
A great manager at one time especially as the manager of the  4 horsemen. Was an Executive in the WWE in the Early 90’s and did the same for WCW on a albeit Camera Role Position in the Late 90’s. Another man that knows about the Business.  Can really see potential in Talent and developed the Talent that he would require and would be a great teacher, advisor and  mentor with anyone who is coming up in the business.

3-Tully Blanchard
Another 2nd generation star that grew up with the business. If Not Jim Cornette then Blanchard he is a NWA Traditionalist Through and Through

4-Ric Flair
The Name I am dying to see as President of the NWA. This Legend holding a position would be undoubtedly the best thing for his post ring career and for the entire organization itself. Trust Me it should happened because this man also knows about the business up and down , in and out. My question is he with the WWE or not? If not Trobich needs to Contact him and have a serious meeting about the future of the National Wrestling Alliance.
