Wonder how much will be devoted to the "Dusty era" and purchasing corporate jets, firing the Rock and Roll Express, playing a part in breaking up Kernodle and Slaughter, and the list goes on and on. I realize, that's not the point of this DVD, and it will focus more on the rise and fall of WCW itself, but there may have never been a WCW had Crockett Jr. not been so naive and trusting of someone who basically destroyed what was left of the NWA through ego and self-serving decisions.

I was wondering where Crockett, Jr. was these days. Seems like he fell off the face of the earth. Does anyone know if the "Dweam" is interviewed on this DVD?

Sounds like an interesting DVD.  WWE probably paid him a decent price to be in the DVD.

There is a really good interview with Don Kernodle over on the Mid Atlantic Gateway where he talks about how he and Salughter booked their fued with Steamboat & Youngblood. According to Don they (Don & Sarge) were supposed to be taking the book when Dusty showed up and suddenly he was in charge. Dusty did some good things and some not so good, I think he definitely stayed in the booking role too long and maybe got involved in aspects of the company he probably should not have. It would be interesting to know if Don and Sarge recall the direction they were planning to take in more detail and to speculate on how they would have competed with Vince's expansion.

I read Kernodle's interview and he did allude to some of the plans. They were planning a major fued with the Russians, that in itself would've been the feud of the year, especially with the political climate of our country. They also had additional feuds planned down the road that would've drawn alot of heat and certainly taken attention away from McMahon's Hulk Hogan circus.

Don was very lenient and forgiving of Rhodes but you could tell he and Slaughter were shocked at Dusty showing up with the book out of nowhere. Within a year, most everyone I knew were suffering from Dusty overexposure so he should've had that book taken away no later than early 1986.
We'll never know.

I'll never forget at the height of the Horsemen's heel run when they were drawing major heat, a show where Ole shows up after supposedly being injured by Dusty and the crowd cheered Ole as they beat Rhodes to a pulp. Then, Ole gave a great interview. I knew right then something was changing with fan's tastes and most Mid Atlantic fans were already sick of the emphasis Rhodes put on himself.

Then a week or so later, Dusty comes out to the ring and starts on one of these "hard times" monologues and the crowd was mostly quiet and even some boos. You couldn't fool the Mid Atlantic fans.

Can any vouch what Missy Hyatt said a while back about the demise of JCP Promotions? I saw a clip of heard on You Tube answering questions from fan's at some Q&A session. I don't remember the link for the clip, if I can find it then I will post here.

What she said in the clip was the reason, the real reason why Jim Crockett sold to Ted Turner was his wife was about to file divorce on him for cheating on her. She was going to file and take what money he had left away from him?

Does anyone know if there is any truth too this?
