I realize, that's not the point of this DVD, and it will focus more on the rise and fall of WCW itself, but there may have never been a WCW had Crockett Jr. not been so naive and trusting of someone who basically destroyed what was left of the NWA through ego and self-serving decisions.
I was wondering where Crockett, Jr. was these days. Seems like he fell off the face of the earth. Does anyone know if the "Dweam" is interviewed on this DVD?
There is a really good interview with Don Kernodle over on the Mid Atlantic Gateway where he talks about how he and Salughter booked their fued with Steamboat & Youngblood. According to Don they (Don & Sarge) were supposed to be taking the book when Dusty showed up and suddenly he was in charge. Dusty did some good things and some not so good, I think he definitely stayed in the booking role too long and maybe got involved in aspects of the company he probably should not have. It would be interesting to know if Don and Sarge recall the direction they were planning to take in more detail and to speculate on how they would have competed with Vince's expansion.
