Each ticket is numbered and you will be called up by number to receive your photo opps and autographs.  
 
GENERAL ADMISSION  15.00
A General admission ticket is required to enter the fanfest. All fans are required to have a general admission ticket. A general admission ticket gives you access to the convention floor and the opportunity to purchase wrestling merchandise and autographs. Various Wrestlers will be appearing as “VENDOR GUESTS” throughout the day. There is an additional charge for all autographs and photo opps after purchasing general admission.

I must say that while I have not to been to either the LOTR nor the Fanfest. LOTR seems to be the most economical for the wrestling. While LOTR offers V.I.P. passes they do not force you to get them to get an autograph from one of the V.I.P. signers. While Fanfest forces you to pay for the V.I.P. pass to get an autograph from somone on the V.I.P list. I think that Fanfest can learn something from LOTr on pricing wrestling legends. For instance if I was not interested in the wrestling matches on Saturday or Sunday nor other wrestlers on the V.I.P why would I pay the V.I.P price to get Ric Flairs autograph? Maybe it is because I have already met Ric Flair around 5 times and will be meeting him about another 5 times over the next year that it is unfair. I guess for the fans that have not gotten the pleasure of meeting him are willing to fork over the V.I.P. price. Just my own thoughts on how it is Fanfest is ran. I will be still attending Fanfest and will enjoy time there because I have not had the pleasure myself to have met Dusty Rhodes, Bob Backlund, Arn Anderson, or Lex Luger. By the way they will be siging a 20x30 picture that I have that pictures Flair but he will sign it another time probably the end of August in New York.....

2 different shows- 2 different areas. 2 different formats
 
NWA FANFEST is a weekend experience for wrestling fans.
 
LOTR is more of an autograph show. one day in and out.

Yea I understand... I will enjoy my time at the NWA Legends Fanfest either way... I guess I was looking at it from the side of autograph collecting and not looking at it from the side of interaction and experience with the legends.....

Like they say, you can't please all of the people all of the time.  
 
I'm always happy to receive advice on how fanfest is ran, especially from folks that will admit they've never been.  
 
 
Do not worry Greg I was not giving advice it was more of an opinion everyone has one. I was giving my opinon on the basis that I have been to CSA shows in Chantilly VA where they have John Elway, Lawrence Taylor and other HOF'ers come down that will sign anything if you pay. Also on the basis I have meet Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair (over 5 times), and HHH and always had a chance to get an autograph at the appearence they were making.

Also if you did not read my post after that initial one I wrote I stated that I am sure I will have a great time at Fanfest and I am looking forward to meeting some great wrestling legends as well as great fans....

Right, you gave an opinion and compared two shows, although you admit you've attended neither. That's like someone giving advice on places to eat when they haven't been to the restaurants.
 
I'm familiar with Marco's CSA shows and understand the ala carte, pay-as-you-go system. We just don't operate that way.
 
Hopefully, you'll have a great time at fanfest like everyone else.

From what I understand from post readings you work very hard to make Fanfest the best and I commend you for your efforts. I should have not assumed it was like the CSA shows that I attend every three months nonethless I am pumped for Fanfest.....  Grin

Fanfest was awesome what a great time I had looking back at what I worte up top I understand what Greg told me I had to be there to give my opinion and after being there holy crap I wish this was more then once a year I am hooked I have not missed a CSA show for over 2 years and from this day on I will not miss a Fanfest for as long as Greg has them....... Fanfest RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Either way I got a 6 hour drive , and both events are very good! I grew up a fan of WWF which LOTR helps with and a fan of the NWA which Fanfest helps with. Meeting Sting , Lex , Flair , Dusty , Billy Graham , Backlund , Steamboat , Sheiky Baby , and Bruno have all come from these events. It's amazing looking back on how much talent both events have offered...
