The relationship with AWA and WWA started after the match between Dick the Bruiser and Mad Dog Vachon on 03-26-1966. Dick the Bruiser lost a unification title match against AWA champion Mad Dog Vachon on 66/03/26 in Chicago, IL but continued to be recognized in Indianapolis and other WWA towns. That marked the relationship between the WWa and AWA the WWA started working with AWA and AWA titles are recognized in Chicago thereafter.
