Anatomy of a Feud. Roddy Piper co-hosts MACW with the great Bob Caudle and "welcomes" Jack and Jerry Brisco to the area in 1982 as only he can do.
Note: I love the expression on Jack's face while Piper is talking. Piper does his usual "indirect swipes" at the fan favorites, but Jerry gets in a few of his own. Having the benefit of books, shoot interviews, fanfests and such, and if you read into the body language, I dont think its too much of a stretch to say these three were having a blast!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zu_o0t0E4LI Of course it goes down hill from there. Piper and Jack Brisco struggle over the MidAtlantic Heavyweight Title. Piper gets a bit contrary and starts making demands before he faces Brisco on tv. Wahoo McDaniel and Ricky Steamboat come to the rescue and help put up the money Piper demands.
Notes: I guess you'd call it synergy. The NWA promotions and Mid South seem to have this. This is an example of the unity of the babyfaces in MACW. The feud is between Jack Brisco and Roddy Piper but Wahoo and Steamboat play a small but important roll.
Just good stuff and part of the reason MACW seemed to promote a personal relationship with its fans.
