A legend I never got to meet.     Now I'll never get the chance.    This is a wrestling loss that will probably get some main stream media coverage, since he was involved with Lauper and the WWF back in the day................

May the legendary Capt Lou Rest in Peace Can anyone name the teams he took to the Tag Titles? I heard he'd managed over 16 teams to the Championship I'm going to name a few please add on if you can

Scicluna and Arion, The Yukon Lumberjacks, The Moondogs, Fuji and Tanaka, Fuji and Saito, The Valiant Brothers, The Wild Samoans, Windham and Rotunda and Dynamite Kid and Davey Boy Smith

Anyone who wants to add to that or edit it in any way feel free

God Bless the Albano family during this difficult time

I got into pro wrestling when I was flipping through the channels one Sunday evening in late 1982 and saw Captain Lou and Ray Stevens turn on Jimmy Snuka...What an angle for an 11 year old that had never really seen pro wrestling to see..I was hooked and have been ever since...I have always credited Captain Lou for getting me into this great hobby.  I have been fortunate to have been able to meet Lou on several times...What a great man who truly loved the business and his fans.

I always got a kick out of the ring introduction:  "The Guiding Light, the Fearless Captain Lou Albano..."

RIP Captain...You will be missed.

Jeffofnc..it was Sicluna and King Curtis, not Arion!  He also managed the Executioners(studd/kowalski)and the Blackjacks.

Many of his teams won the tag titles more than once so that's where you get the high number of tag title reigns his guys had!

I think the Somoans were 3 time champs...either way the Captain will be missed.  I met him several times and he was all ways a true gentleman.  Thank you, Lou, for all you gave.
