Do you know if your current contract with Jakks will allow them to put out a Superstar figure in their new NWA Classics line they are coming out with??

I heard that they may be doing the NWA classic line. I would hope they produce a Superstar figure but I have no control over that. It would be up to the fans to make that request.

Just wanted to let everyone know those that have been asking , Jakks Pacific  will be launching their NWA Legends series soon this year and I have been informed by Jakks officials  that MASKED SUPERSTAR will be one of the figures produced along with several others from the Mid Atlantic Wrestling years. I am looking forward to seeing all of them myself.

Thats great news Bill. Did they give you any info on when this line might come out or when the Masked Superstar figure is "scheduled" for its release? Ive got all 3 Demolition sets (singles, Double and Triple) would love to add this figure beside it.

No sorry I don't have any time schedule. The contract was just signed a few weeks ago and I would imagine it would be late fall, winter or even next spring before they come out.

Not sure how quickly they get them finished and shipped.

Wish I could tell you more. If I hear I will post here on the site. Many fans have been asking when I go to various events.

Thanks Bill, I know I helped Jakks get Mr. Fuji signed since I live in the same town as he does. From what I was told by Jakks a few years back is that it takes 6-8 months from the time they start working on the figure to get it distributed. Only problem is they never say when they start working on it. I know Dennis Condry and Jimmy Garvin were signed for a very long time and still never go released. Thanks for giving us a heads up though on anymore remaining news.

If you bump into Fuji please tell him hello for me. We saw him in N.J. a year or so ago. Was good time and I hope he is doing well.

Mattel just released their Demolition ax prototype. Above you mentioned that you were under contract with Jakks. Has both companies allowed you to have figures released? Is there some clause that WWE/Mattel can use only certain gimmicks while Jakks/TNA can use another?? Was really thrown off by this.

thanks

Thanks for the info. I figured the Demolition contract was expired but was kinda surprised that WWE/Mattel/Jakks would allow 1 person to be signed with both. Even under different gimmicks. I look forward to the Masked Superstar figure. The Legends of the Ring Series 1 looks decent but entirely too many "current" figures. Im ready to see some greats of Mid Atlantic run the series.
