Hello, all, I'm looking for feedback on an idea I'm working on. Here's the deal: Starting in February or March, depending on feedback, I'm looking at starting up an online pro wrestling magazine. This would be online only and just wrestling, no MMA. The focus would be on a variety of subjects -- today's wrestling news from WWE, TNA, ROH, Dragon Gate, Mexico, Japan, Puerto Rico, Indies, etc.; columns written by, most likely, folks within the wrestling community -- wrestlers, former wrestlers, promoters, etc.; live results; pay-per-view results; Q&A with a wrestling personality; feature article(s); wrestling-related ads (people who might want to sell video, T-shirts, etc., or tape trading). I'm looking at a proposed 24-page PDF file weekly magazine to be e-mailed out to customers either on Monday morning or Wednesday morning. I'm proposing offering the first month free of charge and then charging $2.50/week for the subscription with offers of $10/month, $25/3 months and $99/year. There would be an online Web site with daily news that would be short and tight with more-detailed info in the weekly newsletter. A forums section for people to offer feedback, chat, etc., prizes each month for subscribers, a possible weekly online radio program, polls, special e-mail updates and more. The question I have for you folks is: A) Would something like this be of interest to you and if so would people subscribe? B) What would you want offered to make it unique from any other wrestling-related Web site or magazine? If you've seen Sporting News' daily newsletter PDF, that's the idea here. Something that provides the news, but it easy to read. I'll be looking for correspondents to help out. I'll be more than willing to help indy promoters pitch their shows, send in results, etc., free of charge. The goal here is to offer something where you can get all the news you want and something that you don't get anywhere else. Let me know if this of interest and what would it take to make it interesting for you.
