Impact Show January 21
Jan 24th, 2010, 9:11am

Lord help me.....I think I'm getting into TNA.

Flair has formed an alliance with AJ.   Foley beats the hell out of Bischoff.    A "Montreal Screwjob" apparently going down between AJ and Angle, with Hogan getting spit on at ringside.     And Lacey Von Erich.......I know she can't wrestle, but who cares.

For the first time in a long, long time, I'm looking forward to the next episode of a wrestling show.

I agree with you.  TNA has gained a lot of stars in a short amount of time.  What they have done in the last couple of weeks looks much better, but they're going to have to continue to do a good job of managing the stars in order to make it work over time.  They can't go back to the old WCW days where the young guys got shoved back into a corner and only the old guys got a good shot.  They're going to have to continue to push young talent.

I'm not so optimistic, they talk about pushing the young guys, but look at all the old-timers they are bringing in - name-power is all many of those guys have left to offer, it doesn't leave much room at the top for new talent. I thought the "Montreal Screwjob" send-up stunk, they pay writers for that crap??  I liked the original TNA style better, There wasn't money for names, they booked guys for their ability, we don't need a second WWE!

I'm willing to give it a few weeks and see where these angles go.    I agree that they can't just bring out the NwO retreads.   I, for one, wince every time I see Scott Hall trying to recreate his old image.

In Bischoff's book he talks about during WCW's heyday,  they didn't do anything to bring up the new talent, and kept relying on the older guys.  And what a mistake that was.

Hopefully in a few weeks the angles will lead to the older guys in a side role, like Flair behind AJ, providing plenty of entertainment but letting the new guys do the heavy lifting.

i watched the last 3 weeks today after going to the show last night just for Flair and Angle...
I gotta say it's interesting but it's just like WCW when Russo took over before Halloween Havoc thru Starrcade... Uncle Eric is heel when it comes to Jarrett and Foley , but then he is face against AJ and Flair? Huh? I get a headache with all the stories crossing over and gimmick changing and teases of turns in every storyline...

"WE WRESTLE"
I remember that catch phrase. I believe they would gain more fans/viewers if they would wrestle instead of whatever that is they do today.
