Prayers Needed for Rip Hawk
Mar 1st, 2010, 8:50pm  
I just had a call from Wayne Castevens who had just talked with Rip's wife.  Rip fell a few days ago and broke three ribs.  He has been in a lot of pain, but last night his breathing was much worse, an ambulance was called and Rip is now in the hospital with pneumonia.  Please remember him in your prayers.

He's the toughest 88 year old I know.
 
I feel sorry for the pneumonia once "the Profile" gets done with it.

He's tough, but he's not 88.  He'll be 80 on June 6. All websites have his birthday wrong.

Mike and Eddie - ya'll are waaayyy behind the times.  His rib injuries were 2 years ago.  
 
Anyway, I talked to him a couple of weeks ago. He's doing fine and enjoying life and still working at the YMCA every day teaching kids to wrestle.  The only thing wrong now is because of his pacemaker, he can't ride his horses anymore because he can't be bouncing around. He really misses those horses.
 
He too is hoping to get to Charlotte in August.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that.
