Do you think Paul Heyman might come to TNA?

It would be great to see Paul Heyman book again.  TNA could REALLY use him.  Does anyone know if Heyman even has any interest in coming back to wrestling?

I have no better info than anyone else on the internet but Heyman has said before that he doesn't want to. TNA apparently has money problems now. Big surprise (not really). They need to make cuts but will probably cut the wrong people. They'll cut all the low paid TNA original guys instead of the over paid older guys.

Ratings were higher with a lower payroll NOW ratings have gone down not up since Hogan & Bischoff took over and with a higher payroll. TNA fans are different than WWE fans- they don't want old WWE/WCW guys. Only keep original guys with maybe a couple older guys and only if they work for less.

I wish Heyman would come to TNA. I miss the old days of TNA Wrestling with the weekly PPV's. TNA should go back to the way they was in 2002, if they did there ratings would be through the roof. At least that's what I believe

I liked the way they were when they had weekly PPVs also.  You got a two hour PPV for $10.  Now you get a 3 hour PPV for $40?  How is that supposed to be better?

Still, I think that the way they've been since RVD won their World Heavyweight Title is the best TNA has been in years.  TNA was boring when Jarrett was always the champion and that guitar gimmick is really dumb.  Just like that episode a couple months ago when Bischoff called Jarrett out to the ring and said it was a stupid gimmick because Jeff never even plays the guitar.  Then Eric Bischoff called Jarrett out to the ring, guitar in hand of course.  Bischoff challenged Jarrett to play a song on the guitar.  He made Jarrett look like such a fool, it was priceless.  That was the only time I've ever seen Bischoff do something entertaining.

I think todays TNA is trying to live up 2 much 2 the WWE standards. I fell in love with TNA because in the beginning it was so much different then the WWE. Now there trying 2 be just like the WWE.

Cornette was on the Monday Night Mayhem radio show last week and had this to say about Heyman potentially coming to TNA:

"If Paul Heyman went to dinner at Taco Bell, 30 minutes later he could squat down and crap out a better wrestling show format than Vince Russo has ever dreamed of in his life. But I think my old friend, 'Happy Heyman,' is probably way too smart to get involved in that political minefield. One, he's not going to be part of the team, because that would be like putting the top NBA player on the court with a group of guys who they got from a pick up game from the playground. There's nobody capable of even carrying Heyman's pencil down there right now. Secondly, I think he's too smart, because he doesn't want his legacy diminished by going into a hopeless, fruitless cause, because even he was the only person on creative & doing it all himself, he'll still have to deal with the TNA front office, and most of those people with the non-wrestling background are so inept that really I'm surprised, based on my experiences of being there for three years, that they can get anything done. I don't think they would give Heyman the pull or control over everything that is necessary. I think Dixie would still try to stick her nose in, and I think he would be frustrated just as when he was trying to work within the WWE confines, where the people are a whole lot more competent, but not much more educated as far as pro wrestling. I don't see him changing that structure (of TNA)."

My issue with TNA, which has always been my issue with TNA, is my utter frustration at their inability to utilize such a stellar talent roster year, after year, after year and that all comes down to booking.  Vince Russo and whoever else they have booking is abysmal and isn't utilizing the niche audience of "TRUE WRESTLING FANS" as they certainly should be. Between the perpetual hotshotted angles, inconsistent wrestler development, illogical turns and sheer continuity errors, there is ALOT of work to be done. Part of me fears that it's too late for TNA, because they've had such a plum gig on SPIKE and have yet to really capitalize with the talent and opportunity they've been given and really, how much longer can they stay afloat???

I believe Kevin Sullivan said it best when he said that TNA should make their goal to offer a far different product than Vince, akin to, "if Vince is selling Cadillacs, they should sell Harleys" and in that regard, I believe Paul Heyman would be able to offer a genuine alternative product that would sincerely develop its own following and interest and could exponentially grow. I know he's really involved with MMA and would potentially look to book a more strongstyle and endgame, I think Heyman would only help this floundering product.

However I think Heyman's presentday multimedia position is fine for him and he's not interested in the hustle and bustle of running a promotion again. And if that's the case, I think giving Jim Cornette the book for a year and see what he's capable of would really be the best bet, because he appears to be one of a very few who can veer the product in the direction it needs.

To look at TNA look at one person... Samoa Joe... Constant face and heel turns... with this faction and that faction... do me a favor.  Choose one way and stick right or wrong.  It takes time to bulid an angle or a product and the constant back forth with Joe shows the ignorance of the writers and those in charge of TNA.  We will be back to two organizations soon, I hope they let AJ and Joe come back to Ring of Honor.

Totally on point with Joe. Especially when he got turned into a facepainted, machete wielding "Nation of Violence" dude that was sooooo far out of character that it was mindboggling and THEN there was that whole Wolfpac leaving him in the desert and Joe completely and unexplainedly returning months later. Considering he was arguably one of their most over homegrown stars, they've done a number on him hopefully not beyond repair. TNA also seems far too interested and drooling over former WWE wrestlers who maybe aren't the "best" for a brand that should be attempting to set itself apart and I think Paul Heyman is the type of mind who could try to make the most out of their talent and probably articulate who should be booked ontop.

I can't think of all too much success "booking-wise" Hogan and Bischoff have had outside of literally stumbling upon the nWo and they still botched it in the end and I can't think of anything of relative quality ever associated with the words Vince Russo, and the possibility of a freshstart with a proven creative force, I think it's at least, worth a shot.
