I saw on Highspots they have a "Rise and Fall of CCW" dvd.  What ever happened to CCW and Tony Hunter?

I also recall he was one of the first at Fanfest to print the large photo ops instead of doing Polaroids.

the last time i saw Tony Hunter he was selling day old bread and dented groceries at Jamestown Flea Market in Morganton NC.  As someone who went to the cards and got to meet one of my Idols due to him it was kinda dishearting.  Don't know what happened and he was kinda tight lipped about only saying about wrestling "oh yeah that that was good while it lasted."

Don't know the backstory but would be intrested as someone who went three times  to Lenior and to the starcade card in Greenville.

For me, I look back on those Lenoir shows as some of my fondest memories.  WCW had folded and I had quit watching wrestling.  After going to Fanfest in Charlotte, I was missing the old days.  Tony Hunter brought back old school wrestling for awhile.  Dusty, Tully, Nikita, Ivan, Boogie, Rock and Roll, Midnights, Abdullah, Ronnie Garvin, Ole, the list goes on.  The place was packed and rip roaring.

I could go back to '85 once a month while it lasted.  I don't know exactly what happened to Hunter, I can only guess, but I don't really care.  I thank him for making me feel like a kid again by rubbing shoulders with so many real wrestling legends.

MY OPINION: there has not been a better indy promoter than tony those shows he ran were the best > would be nice for just one more show in Lenior bet it would draw!!!
