--Michael Kirkman, an MMA fighter who fought on a Saturday night show in Aiken, SC, died this morning at the age of 30.  Kirkman had six amateur fights.  He was fighting at a show called Confrontation at the Convocation Center at the University of South Carolina's Aiken campus.  He was taken to Aiken Regional Medical Center after the fight and died of a brain hemorrhage.  He would be the third known death from an MMA match, the previous being Douglas Dedge in Russia in the 90s and Sam Vasquez in 2007 in Texas.   Multiple calls to the South Carolina Athletic Commission were not returned.  Local media reports called him a 6-foot-9 lightweight, but that sounds impossible.
