I figured since we are under a month away it might be nice for the newer and older members to get to know the people we are going to spend some time with  very soon.
 
I figure we all have a facebook, myspace, twitter etc..  So what better way to but faces to our names than maybe become friends on these other networks too. This way when we bump into each other we know a face.

The weekend of FanFest is the weekend I look forward to most each year. This will be my 3rd straight year attending & I meet more & more folks each year. I usually travel by myself but am actually bringing a 1st time FanFest attendee with me this year. For those of you reading this who have never been and are maybe worried about going by yourself, don't. The majority of folks who attend are very friendly & personable. You will meet several new people while waiting in line, attending the q&a's etc so don't let traveling by yourself be an excuse not to come!

In real life, my name I Devona. I have twitter and facebook under DivaMissD.   This will be my first trip to fanfest, and although this trip began as something for the hubby that I would tag along to, I'm getting more excited as the days pass. I've been a wrestling fan since I was very young, so I am most excited to meet Baby Doll (my childhood hero), Tommy Rich (my first crush) and Nikita Koloff (second crush).

Hey there, my name is Charlie. Me and my bro Nick have been going to the Charlotte Fanfests since 05. I have been a fan of wrestling since I Was three, and my love for the performance played a huge part in my decision into becoming an actor.
 
Like many of you, I have now soured on recent mainstream wrestling.Right now I only really follow Ring of Honor and the occasional indy/MMA. I will still keep tabs on the big two for the few guys I like, but it is really hard to watch a whole show nowadays.  
 
I am usually one of the younger folks at fanfest. Even though I grew up on the early 90's/Monday Night Wars, I enjoy watching old school territory wrestling just as much (if not more) than anything from my youth. I really wish I could have been around to experience those days.
 
I reside in a small NC town called Benson, but I'll be moving to UNC-Asheville this fall and live in a dorm on campus. I was worried about not being able to make fanfest because of school, but it looks like I will have enough to money saved to live it up at fanfest like always. Also there is apparently a wrestling school up in Ahseville, if it looks like a legit enough place I might see if I can learn how to live out my childhood dream of becoming a manager.
 
I enjoy talking to all the fellow wrestling fans in Charlotte,especially in the lobby. Can't wait to see you all there!

And Mr. Andersen is absolutely right, you may show up at Fan Fest alone, but you'll have some friends in no time.   Maybe even before you get out of the lobby.
 
The other 51 weekends of the year, I'm known as Mark Miller, a drone who works for the feds in DC, with a wife and 3 teenage daughters at home.    If it weren't for my escape on Fan Fest weekend.......I'd probably be in jail.  
 
Along with wrestling, I enjoy meeting celebs of all stripes, and love to get a picture, usually with my class 16 Times pose, as can be seen here on my avatar.
