So today I finally got around to watching SMW TV from '92, and I've decided: Ron Wright as the "crippled ex-wrestler trying to raise money for hip and knee replacements and open heart surgery" is one of the greatest things I've ever seen.
 
I grew up with Ron Wright stories from my dad, who frequently attended Southeastern cards in the '70s, but ran into a brick wall trying to find footage.  I had known about his time as a manager in SMW from the magazines, but didn't have access to the TV at the time.  
 
Does anyone know how Ron is doing these days?  I'm sure the market wouldn't be big enough for the likes of Highspots, RF, or ROH to do it, but I'd love to see a shoot DVD with the guy.

Yes I did.  I had seen it probably a few years ago, but wasn't quite as interested as I would become.  Once I got really curious, I decided to go back and read it again.  It was neat reading stories about Corbin, because I used to go bowling there and ran around it a bit with an ex.  
 
Still, it just kind of felt like it was only scratching the surface.  I'd like to see a good in-depth shoot going at least a couple of hours.  I could listen to someone like Ron Wright tell stories all day long.
