However, from the list above, I have no complaints with: Harley Race and Brad Armstrong (since I posted a wishlist elsewhere, no need for me to repost it here).

You can't make everyone happy, unfortunately. As someone who lives in the North East, a lot of the requests I see on here I already have met multiple times because they appear a lot up here. But someone like the Freebirds I really want because they haven't done anything up my way, but they did do the Charlotte thing a few years ago, so some of the southern folks are done with them. Its a fine line.

I would hope to think moving the venue to Atlanta would bring in some new fans from down there so SOME repeats would be warranted, and eventually you get to the point where you have to have some repeats because you run out of quality new guests.

I am glad I am not a promoter.

That being said, my #1 want is Jimmy Garvin and Precious, and I have been begging the shows up here for 3 years to book him but no one ever does. Atlanta will be my first trip down south, so hopefully he'll show up as a vendor or otherwise. A Freebirds reunion in Atlanta would be great though.

Greg, there's unfortunately no way to make everyone happy. The best you can do is what you've been doing, trying to strike a balance between fresh guests and popular repeats.

In my case, the last 3 Fanfests have really been it for me. Living in rural east Tennessee, there aren't a lot of opportunities, and I don't have the financial resources to travel all over to various signings. Fanfest has become my yearly vacation. And since I'm still building my collection, there are times when I have something for a guest that maybe I had nothing for when they were there, so I'd like to see them back. Or I missed them because something came up (I have bouts with low blood sugar, for example) or I messed up on my budget and could have gotten an autograph after all.

I have yet to be anything but thoroughly pleased with a Fanfest lineup.

Bockwinkel was with us in Rockville in 2006 and has done several other appearances since. Maybe I just assumed most folks had met him. Buddy Roberts was in Charlotte in 2008 and 2010, and several Northeast events in between.

Greg - you can't question comments on Bockwinkle and Roberts when five of the announced nine guests are repeats. That's not a knock by the way because the set of fresh faces so far are fantastic.

If anything Dibiase has been around far more than a Bockwinkle or a Roberts. I will be honest and hold my hand up and say I rolled my eyes when I saw the Dibiase announcement.

I have always said there is nothing wrong with a repeat as long as there is at least a year between them. I also firmly accept that it's impossible to put together a show now with completely fresh names so repeats are a must.

My comment on wanting Roberts was a general one rather than I expected to see him at Fanfest in 2011. I have never expected him to surface as a guest name for 2011 because he was around this year.

One thing I would say though in defence of any of Gregs booking for this show is that I actually don't have a major issue with repeats for 2011 because it's in a whole new area - I got over the Dibiase thing because this isn't Charlotte - this is Atlanta. They may be repeat guests for the show but not for the area. Ultimately the lack of names I needed on a show would effect my decision to make a purchase but I am always aware of a bigger picture.

Some of you grizzled vets might roll your eyes with Ben on some of the "repeats," but this is a weekend to celebrate the wrestling tradition in Georgia. We'll have many first-time VIPs and new folks. I think all of you will find it to be an extraordinary weekend.

As I said I have no real issue with any repeats this time around simply because the show is in a new place with a slightly different focus.

It would be silly not to have someone like Ole there - I have no interest but appreciate why hes there.

Rockville was my first ever wrestling convention, so I didn't really know what they were all about; I've always regretting not getting a picture with Bonkwinkel and haven't seen him since....I'm probably in the minority, but I would like for him to show up again.

Hayes and Arn Anderson have made Fanfest appearances while employed by WWE. Jerry Brisco was there this year, and last I knew he still worked there. Dusty was a vendor guest last year. So it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Got the chance to meet Jesse Ventura back in September. He couldn't have been nicer. Signed his book and other stuff for everyone and after we had all been thru the line, maybe 1 hour later, he stayed and did photo ops with anyone who wanted one.
