IWA Revived in  1982

During 1982 there were several tv stations in North Carolina airing the IWA shows that were taped between 1975 and 1977.This is one of the house shows that the IWA presented featuring the wrestlers who appeared on the original tv shows.

they ran about 6 shows.I had the honor to ref most of them.Apollo wasn't really booked, Buck Forrest worked as Martinez' patner as the Crusader.Reggie Love also wasn't there...Phil Watson worked as Percival Love teaming with Hartford.They also used Wendi richter, Kandi Malloy,Geto Mongol,and local talent  to fill out the shows

Thanks for that info Dave.Do you remember the other towns they ran during this period ? I would like to locate clippings for those shows too.

burlington, a small town near durham named I beleive Troxler lake,I think King Mountain,two other small towns in the hickory area...wish I was more help

i remember the commercial of this card on channel 45 in winston-salem. wished like crazy to have been able to go, but i couldn't...
didn't the commercial use the song "why can't we be friends" by WAR in the background? anybody got the commercial to share?

I was reading this also on the kayfabe memories board but can't find my password...the show in Burlington was at fairchild rec center, not the armory
