How is Blackjack Mulligan doing?
May 30th, 2011, 5:12am

Last I heard he had a stroke a couple years back.  How is Blackjack doing now?  Is he recovered enough to maybe be able to make it to a Fanfest?

Blackjack Mulligan will never make a public appearance anywhere.

I have no clue as to how he's doing now, but I hope for the best. One of the all-time great big men.

Too bad he doesn't make appearances anymore.  I also hope he's alright.

Yes, one of the most underrated wrestlers too in terms of how he influenced so many other wrestlers with both his wrestling and promos.  His promos along with those of Dusty Rhodes and Superstar Billy Graham are sometimes called "soul promos" or "down home barbeque promos." LOL  The three of them all started doing those types of promos around the same time period, and they were all heavily influenced by Thunderbolt Patterson's style.
