autographs  vs photo ops
Jul 30th, 2011, 1:21pm

Just was curious if ya had to choose between one or the other, what would you pick?

I,personally, pick the photos over autographs...just because i'm and old school fart,I enjoy quite a bit going back thru photos of me and the legends and seem to enjoy that a lot more than looking at a book, mag, etc. that has an autograph.

Don't get me wrong,I still get stuff signed but it doesn't hurt me at all if there is someone i am unable to get an autograph from!

Just seems more special to me to be able to meet a legend and get the photo op done.

Your comments are greatly appreciated!

Even though we are doing some photo ops, this year it's all about the autographs for us.

Good point, Bruno!

The photo ops are a visual reminder of special moments. Not knocking autographs, but for those looking for picture proof of some once-in-a-lifetime moments, photo ops guarantee a lifetime of saved memories. Hard to beat that!

They also go a long ways towards helping us pay the bills Wink  so for that, I thank you!

For me, it depends on the talent, the item in question to be signed, etc. I see a photo op as something I reserve for my favorites not just anyone or everyone. There are folks I wouldn't do a photo Op with even if it was free. I'm a fan of the multi signed items particularly things that connect ie arenas, events, championships, etc and there are certain people whose signature elevates the item, hence making an autograph more desirable in that case.  I know that may not truely answer the question, but it for me is a case by case basis.
