This past Saturday night in Roseboro, NC (just east of Fayetteville), Jimmy "Boogie Woogie Man" Valiant made a special appearence at the Atlantic Championship Professional Wrestling (ACPW) show. It was a special occaision as it was The Boogie Woogie Man's 69th Birthday.
During Intermission, former WWE Superstar Eugene, along with regional Independent star, Charlie Dreamer, got the crowd going and asked Valiant to come to the ring. Eugene, Dreamer and the crowd in attendence sang "Happy Birthday!" to the Boogie Man. Eugene told the crowd while urging Valiant into the ring, "I've never been in the same ring with the Boogie Woogie Man and always wanted to."
Valiant, brought in his friend Rob McBride, who several years ago received the mantle of "The Boogie Woogie Man" from the legendary star. Valiant and McBride, The Boogie Woogie Men, faced Tracy Gilbert and George South. Valiant got in the ring and at 69 years old wrestled the two younger men, who are 20 to 30 years his junior. In the end, McBride and Valiant beat South and Gilbert to get the win before the cheering crowd.
