Greg, has indicated that 2012 will be the last year for the Fan Fest.  Although this makes me sad, I can not argue with Greg as the task of putting together a show of this magnitude has to be mind boggling, hectic, crazy, insane, nerve racking or any other adjective you want to throw on top of that.  I heard one of the guests say this show has become the Wrestlemania of Fan Fests.  I also overheard Ted Dibiase say, see you next year, same time, different place. In speaking with several of the legends, you can genuinely tell they enjoy being at the Fest.  So hopefully Greg is playing coy and will have a Super Fan Fest or maybe a title change or something of that nature.  Although I think he is being very serious about this.  
 
So, Lets make 2012 go out with a resounding BANG! I have faith that if in fact this is the end, Greg is gonna blow the line-up out of the water (Steamboat, Von Erich and Warrior at the top of my list).    
 
Lastly, Greg wrote that he would be inducting the Crockett's into the Hall of Heroes in 2012.  A great choice as there is no doubt about their place in the NWA History we all love.  Although we do not have a "vote" in who is inducted, I would like to nominate a person.  A man who has made dreams come true, made everlasting friendships for many of us, allowed us over the last 10 years to meet people who share the same passion for "Old School Wrestling" that we all still love, a man that has allowed the legends we love to reunite with each other, a man that has contributed soo much to the current NWA and helps to keep the history alive with these Fests, a man who's Fests have often been imitated but never duplicated, the one and only GREG PRICE!!

i without a doubt would vote greg price into the hall of heroes without him we the fans of fanfest would not had a chance to meet and greet so many legends im begging all the fans to vote greg price emily miller pasty hughes tommy g and the rest of the staff if this is truly the last 1 the crocketts and greg price and his group of helper that are so much a part of fanfest go into the hall of heroes

Most definently Greg should be in the Hall of Hero's ! This shoudnt even be a debate! Greg you should be proud of the job you have done and will continue to do! Let me just say from a soldier you gave me a great stress reliever not having to think about deployments of any kind, just a exciting time a NWA Fanfest 2011 in Atlanta GA! Best time I have had as a wrestling fan!! Thank you! GOD BLESS!

I certainly appreciate the sentiment and kind words, but the Hall of Heroes is for wrestling legends.
 
I've always hated when promoters/bookers make themselves the face of the promotion. I've never tried that with fanfest and certainly want to remain in the background. I'm a fan, just like you guys.

Being that 2012's Fanfest is the last, and it's back in Charlotte, I'd love to see GEORGE BECKER inducted into the Hall of Heroes. He was a mainstay in Jim Crockett Promotions for twenty years straight and one of the area's all-time most popular wrestlers.
 
I know many of the younger fans have few or no memories of George, but believe me when I tell you HE WAS BIG!

In 6 years of doing In Your Head, Greg is the only promoter that has not asked to come on the show himself  .

Its that "so to speak" that gets me.If it were the end why not just say "it will be a fitting end to an incredible journey"?....i dont know maybe its just me grasping at straws hoping that it's really not over   I mean think about it people come from all over the world to attend this weekend every year...you can't say that about ANY OTHER convention.

Even though the wife and I are rookies at this I want you to know that you deserve all the praise that you are getting on here.  You have always done right by Devona and I.  It was the thrill of a lifetime for me to sit with Stan Hansen at Hall of Heroes.  Thank you again.  just a warning though if you bring in Arn Anderson and I get to sit with him next year at hall of heroes I will probably hug you again.
